So how is everyone liking the 0777?

I really want to hear some user feedbacks on them. Are they amazing users or just a fancy collector's pieces?

Looks like folks love the financial incentive/aspect based on the markups on the Exchange. Going over like gangbusters.

It's a cool knife, but Im not sure if it was worth the 380.00 I paid for it. I only have knifes to use though.
600.00 not me.
I'm a gun guy though, all users, no safe queens.
Wanna trade for 2k rounds of 62 grain 556, us production?

Totally loving this knife. Probably my new favorite. I'm just not near brave enough to use it

I look at my 360 dollar small sebenza insingo: two titanium slab handles, s35vn blade, stamped ti clip, barrel spacers...

I look at my 360 dollar 0777: 3d machined contoured carbon fiber handles, m390 blade, bearings, flipper, machined titanium lock bar, adjustable/replaceable lock face, machined titanium clip and backspacer, limited production...

I like them both but I feel like you get a lot more with one of them.

Anyway, my 0777 hasn't left my pocket since I got it. I only wish it were a little smaller, but it is nice and thin for the size. It's not hype, it really is super nice.

That's why out of the 4 CRKs I've tried, I'm only keeping the Zaan...

How does it perform to the Insingo? I would imagine very similar?

I'm highly tempted to use mine, but the money that its fetching is really tempting me... Is it worth $600+?

No, it's not. I LOVE my 0777 to death but if I was looking to shell out $600, I'm going custom.

The fit and finish on the knife is impeccable but you can still tell it's a production knife if you have a keen eye for detail. When I got it and gave it a once over, I had to keep reminding myself that it's 'only' a sub $400 production knife.

Probably not a great comparison to the small, and I don't have a large. I will say the blade shape is pretty similar. The 0777 is flat ground though, which I like on a bigger knife. I've only had it a week, but I'd say the M390 is a big step up from S35VN. Seems to hold an edge really well, something I've never been able to say about my insingo.

Only thing that bothers me on the whole knife is the threaded insert on the clip side closest to the pivot, for the scale screws to thread into. That one hangs out where the other 2 don't. The carbon fiber is just a little thinner there. the black coating on that is already coming off on mine. It's odd that the other 2 are down inside and that one hangs out. All the pictures I've looked at though, seems like they're all like that.

So far, I'm very impressed by my M390 BLK version. The fit and finish are superb. I only have two gripes about the knife out of the box. The pocket clip is much too tight. It's loosened up after a few days, but it's still a chore to take the knife out of the pocket of jeans. The only other gripe I have is that the knife wasn't razor sharp. It had a decent factory edge, but nothing like I've seen on my Emersons. I touched it up with the Wicked Edge and I'll have to see how it performs...

I am using mine and love it.

The knife is proving to be durable, and it cuts with the best of them while still being slim and unobtrusive in your pocket.

The flipping action is superb, and on mine the fit and finish is outstanding.

No problems here.

best

How does it cut compared to the 0801? Even though the blade shape is totally different, but the edge geometry is quite similar. I may have to send my 0801 to the chopping block if the 0777 proves superior.

My most expensive knife is a Mel Pardue custom made knife that would sell for twice the ZT-0777's original MSRP. It's a display knife Mel made for me for a trade. It's too purdy to use! It is perfect. Next in price - a CRK/WC 'StarTac', an Umnumzaan variant (~$430) bought to commemorate my first SS retirement check three years ago. It's a user - an EDC! It still rates as the most perfectly made/assembled production, albeit smaller in numbers, knife that I have seen/held - now owned. My wife presented me with a real ZT-0777 just over a month ago. It would be a decidedly second place to the CRK for ultimate fit/finish - still steps above the best of my other Benchmades, Kershaw/ZT's, and Spyderco's, however. My 0777 just wasn't 'my kind of knife'. It only was out of the box for minutes a few times - it never shaved my armhairs or sliced paper. It's edge looked perfectly uniform - and it deployed and retracted smoothly - that's about all I can say. The m390 variant may be more of a user - I certainly like my knives with that steel, Benchmade 480-1 Shoki, 581 Barrage, and my EDC 755 MPR. You can likely buy all three new total for what a 777m390 runs, however. You must really like the 777 design to dig deep for one. It just isn't for me. YMMV. Best of luck!

I love mine. I really wish dealers would only let people buy 1 though. I recently saw someone on the exchange with 4 for sale. Not sure how you can do that to other collectors.

I'm really tempted to use mine. After playing with it and handling it, I'm just falling in love with this thing.
- Why wouldn't you use it? You only live once in life, you might as well enjoy the best things you can afford. What good is a pretty knife in a safe that you take out once in a while to look at?

You sir have just placed the 0777 in my pocket.
LOL. That's good to hear. It really is a nice knife. I've only used it to cut little things here and there, but from the cutting tests that I've seen on Youtube, the ZT0777 M390 will keep it's edge very well.
