So mad, frustrated, sad, etc

Smoke about to be lit & will strike the temple bell for your & yours Andy.

Damn. So much good news {Samuel.} & bad news in one day.

I've never known the likes of you all. Much appreciated.

No change in condition today. Waiting for results of MRI.

Thank you all.

Prayers from Indiana for your sister-in-law's recovery. Little Jayden needs a Mom, so prayers of thanks for his safety and that of your brother. God bless.

Prayers for Jennifer's recovery.

This kind of thing scares me . . . completely random, and can happen to anyone at anytime.

I cannot understand why the other driver was not taken into custody. Hit & Run w/ injuries is a Felony nearly everywhere.

Andy,

I'm so sorry to hear about this.

I'm late as always, but smoke up in Louisville...

I'm so sorry, Andy. I hope so badly that this all turns out ok. Man, she threw herself over the car seat? God, what a lady. With a spirit that strong, I do indeed have hope.

Smoke sent from Iowa, friend. Always.

Chris

Man I hate racism. What a dumb way to cloud the issue, and invite the suspect to play the race card. When are Americans going to get wisdom on this issue. I hate it.

BTW, as a southerner, and having lived in all the Gulf states, I will say I've never been in a more racially charged atmosphere than South Florida. Which, is NOT southern culture. JMHE (E=experience)

Two years ago a family member was killed by a similar act of criminal negligence and the culprit played the “political connections” card immediately so the matter was not charged out. I was not happy with this, and it became a divisive issue in the family because everyone else was preaching forgiveness regardless of the bad-actor’s character.

The tough job is forgiving them when there is no contrition on their part and they are using race, money or politics to get out of it. Undoubtedly forgiving is the right thing to do, but I have had little success with it.

Anyway, prayers sent for a positive medical outcome and for the other driver to at least say she is sorry so you have an excuse to forgive her.

Great post. Pretty much sums up how I feel. I want to forgive, but i'm not having success yet.

Prolly too soon to forgive - don't sweat it. Since that's you're intention, you'll be ready in a while. But don't wait for them to say they're sorry ... 'cause they may never have the courage/awareness to be sorry, instead of defensive.

In the final analysis, forgiveness really isn't about them. It's about you.

There won't be 'sorry' said. They'll be too many lawyers around to allow that kind of humanity, if it even exsists.

Brain injuries take a while to figure out.
They won't know.

That's why our prayers are a good thing. We'll keep them up and hope.

Any word on her condition?

Frank

Waiting now for the Dr. to tell us the results of an MRI. Other than that, no change. :(

In her case, no news is good news, but waking up normal would be GREAT news. The Dr's said the 1st 72 hours are the telltale, and she has not been downgraded during that time. So thats good. But she has not regained consciousness.

Thanks for asking Frank.

The Dr's report on the MRI was not good. There is fluid accumulating in the brain cavaty. They're going to have to drill a hole, drain the fluid, and insert a monitor(?).

Draining the fluid prevents brain damage from pressure.
A tough time and more prayers.
