So mad, frustrated, sad, etc

Even more progress today. Answering questions, though no sound behind the words yet. Right side moving. They're talking about moving her to a rehab facility in a few days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hooray!! Great news, Andy. Hoping for continued improvement and a total recovery! :)

Jeez, Andy, that's the best news I've heard in a while. I just lit up another stick for her. There is always hope, and this is the evidence.

I remember that, about a year ago, I started a pretty similar thread about my friend Yuki. He was ejected from a car on the interstate and had a serious brain injury. After a bunch of bore holes for pressure, numerous brain surgeries, and a period of coma, he came out of it. The process is painfully slow, but the human body's ability to regenerate is truly remarkable. A year later, and after moving back to Japan to be with his family and do rehab (and because he forgot English for a while), he's back at a rehab facility in New York, and preparing to come back to college next year.

This place is amazing in its good vibes and healing strength. And while the process can be slow and frustrating, it can and does work. Just hang in there and keep us informed.

Love from Iowa,

Chris

Thats good news on your friend too Chris. I'm so glad. There is power in conraderie and fellowship, and prayer. There really is.

Andy,

Sorry to hear about the accident. Best wishes on sister-in-law's recovery.

Smoke and prayers for you and your family Andy. I'm heartened to hear that some progress is being made. I hope the person that caused all this grief is being held accountable at least.

Best,

Norm

I'm very glad to hear the positive news about your sister-in-laws progress!

I'm also glad to see she is your focus and not the person who injured her.

More "smoke" from the west coast.

Andy,

I'm sorry to get in so late on this... but happy to see your SIL is getting better. I'll add her and your whole family to my prayer list.

The traffic (with bad drivers), large percentage of stupid people, and crime all contributed to me making my escape back to the Big Horns from S. Florida. My first week in Driggs, there was a fatal accident every day on the highway going through town.

Forgiveness is one of the hardest things to accomplish in life... and one of the most rewarding (not sure if that is exactly the right word). It releases you from so much negative baggage that, if not let go, will stay with you for a lifetime and fester away at your soul. I'm still dealing with learning to forgive myself... it is hard. Hang in there my friend.

Alan

Very glad to hear the good news, Andy. Continuing prayers sent for a speedy and complete recovery.

Thanks guys. An infection is preventing surgery on a broken elbow right now. Thats all the update I've got for now.

I'd trade a right elbow for a brain any day.

In fact, I could use a new brain about now...where's Bruise when he's needed?

Smoke and Song continue...
