So what do you rat packers do for a living?

Student. Was a part time a lot of things like roadie, computer tech, the guy that cusses at you when you call customer support, server maintenance guy, electrician...

Student in the winter (Elementary Ed with a focus in History and Social Studies) and a cutlery/optics salesperson in the summers at local B&M store that sells all sorts of crazy stuff. I'm not the manager on the knife side, but I DO get to influence the product selection pretty strongly. :D

To pay the bills I leave home every weekday morning to play Attorney...

To keep me on an even keel, I train and teach martial arts and get outdoors as much as possible...

My focus is on my wife and 3 children...spending as much quality time with them as I can, and to teach the kids the important things in life...

Currently a wardsperson. (orderly, to the americans and porter to the brits) at the local hospital. I assist the nurses, push the gurneys and wrangle the heroin addicts and drunks. Work there's being great, but about to dry up reaaal fast. Looking at Military or Law Enforcement, I'm only 20 and want an adventurous career to look back on.

Military is a gret place to start if you don't have any set plans -- looks good on a law enforcement application or can be a good way to be paid to learn a trade. Not sure what your education benefits are like for veterans, but over here it's a good start on college or trade school expenses, as well.

Last 10 years I have spent as a quality, health, safety and environmental manager for small chemical company. Would rather be building muscle cars full time, but hey someday maybe.

Been working in engineering/construction. Laborer, engineering tech, project rep, whatever needed to be done.

I work in the paleo field. I teach about paleontology in the class rooms, museum labs, but mostly field work. As in (yep) finding dinos. And inverteberts as well. Also an E.M.T. And I used to rebuild motors. Hotrods, ambulances, industrial equip, as in forklifts highrise equip. Well any kind of motors. And a ton of other sideshows, I just like to learn and do more things. Enjoy. edgy

I am a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery.

Actually I am a Paramedic who works 2 jobs to support my habits (eating living in doors paying the bills for the two children who are working very hard to raise a good parent.) and I buy a few knives here and there.

Hey Paramedics save lives

(an EMTs save paramedics :p)

Its all good so long as I am the ALCS provider and you are the EMT lol. Remember ACLS stands for Aint Carrying or Lifting Stuff.

Its just interesting seeing you constantly whining about not having money or a job and simultaneously calling people "gear whores", while bitching about UPS not delivering your new gear fast enough...all while on the neighbors' WiFi.

I think everyone here knows just how serious to take anything you say, Mr. 200lbs pack, 50mph biker, 20 liters of water a day cripple with joints that take 2 hours of massage to get you out of bed Rucker.

OP, Sorry for the derailment. I work in limestone quarries.

Haha, once again the PR hate crew is out and about... inflating all my stories so they're larger than life... and once again you can't quote a single place where I've made these ridiculous statements.

Well I sell real estate for a "living"; mainly farm and ranch. But I do several other things on the side to make everything work. I do quite a bit of random grunt work on our family's land. I'm a CHL Instructor too!

I am a survivalist community orgnanizer, yard man, angry political activist, bar room philosopher, and retired old man. Oh, and I collect weapons.
