So what kind of flashlight do YOU carry?

When Henry has the HDS 80s available in Feb I will replace the L4.

If history is any teacher, Henry will have the 80s "available" in Feb 06, and in the hands of actual customers some time around Feb 07 or Feb 08. ;)

That all being said, my edc is an EDC Ultimate 60, so I guess I'm guilty of being just as much an idiot as anyone else who buys from these folks. :) For the record, I also believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and that Jerry Busse is working on a folder design.

I wonder if there is a strong correlation between people who carry Surefires and similar lights and people who carry pistolas all the time too.

i would say yes lol.

White Photon Freedom on my keyring, and Orb Raw in my pocket. I also keep a Surefire U2 on a shelf near the door, which gets grabbed if I am going for a walk at night. That's the one that currently gets used most.

_A_ flishlight - no, I don't carry _A_ flashlight

HDS EDC Ultimate 60 in the left front pocket
Arc AA on the keyring in the right front pocket
Arc AAA in my altoids micro kit
Arc LS first with AA twisty + a photon knockoff in my EDC backpack

Then there are the 2 surefires in the truck, plus an Minimag - and a 2d mag and minimag in my wife's car

Carry _A_ flashlight - that's like carrying _A_ knife

I don't have need to carry a flashlight. I own 3 Surefires, I keep one in the car, one in my girlfriends car and one by my bed. There pretty cool I think. One of them is an LED, I like that one the most.

I just got an HDS EDC Basic 42 XR last night (Sold my L2). The HDS is so useful and versatile I might even take the Arc off my keychain. Never thought that'd happen. The Ultimate seems like it'd be even better (albeit more complicated), but not for $100 more. Not when the 85 is supposed to be rereleased in February.

I've got me a new 100 Lumen L2 on the way too.

I love my surefire E2E, bright and compact. Only problem is it EATS batteries and I beat the tar out of it at work so I picked up a cheap LED from the hardware store, 1 watt Luxeon, and that thing has taken over EDC duties. AAA batteries, aluminum housing, works great. Now the surefire is my "dresser queen".

I carried a Pelican M6 in my jacket pocket at the gym tonight. I left my Scorpion in the truck.

I've been carrying either a U2 or E2D for the past 6 months. The U2's power usage is incredible and it will probably be a while before I need new batteries. Now if I could only afford a comparable knife to my U2 :D

ya can put a KL1 head on it (~$50) and it vastly increases the batt life (~6 hours or so)

Yea, that may be in the works, the bulb is blown right now so money needs to go in anyway. I never realized that a LED could be bright enough for "tactical" type uses until I played with a X200 at the gun shop, impressive.

ARC AAA in the Mission Wallet
Prehistoric Photon on the keyring
SF 6P w/ 120 Lumen P61 lamp assembly upgrade in coat pocket (or apron when working @ the bar)
Surefire Scorpion in car & B.O.B.
AA/AAA Maglites scattered around the house.
