Sodbuster...and lots of them!

Thanks guys, glad people are enjoying the pics and please feel free to post pics of yours or any info you have on the pattern and it's different variations. I would like this thread to be an education on sodbusters and a reference for people looking to get a sodbuster.

Sodbuster pattern is a great platform for showing off handle material. Horn tip would be great and in the spirit of a working knife. Hmmm...

An impressive collection of a much under appreciated pattern sir.

I'd like to find one of those non-Kentucky green Case's myself.

You might want to keep your eye out for a Queen in black cherry delrin too.;)

Woah! You`ll have a hard time picking what model to carry once Sodbuster month comes up. Very nice collection.

I had to edit the description on the first knife, its actually a Moore Maker locking sodbuster in 1095 made by Bear&Son. You have some options with the lockback, the MooreMaker is still in production and Bear&Son still makes their version called the Farmhand. The Farmhand comes in the smaller size such as the Moore Maker and then a larger size. Some of the Spanish companies have locking sodbuster with wood handles, I'll see if I can round up which ones. You also have the Case liner lock Sodbuster Jr as an option, though you will have to find one on the bay since they are no longer in production.

thansk for the info - I've only got the one sodbuster these days as my loyaly swiched to GEC the mini lockback (I'm strickly a user not a collector - well thats what i tell the misses)

I still love my custom Queen soddie though. I'll throw some pics up at some point

Silly me! I had no idea there were so many sodbusters out in the market. And never had a clue as to how dressed up some of them are. For years I had an EYE brand large soddie and used the hell out of that one for years. I am down to just two now, and only carry and use one, my small Queen.

What a great collection! Thanks for posting.

Robert

What a great collection of that nice Soddies (Hippekniep as we call that knife in Germany).

Especially the ones with the stag handles are all great looking!! Congratz to them :)

Kind regards
Andi

That's a nice blade.
Congrats on that one

Welcome to the Traditional Forum.

A Case Sodbuster was my first traditional! I love that knife, and it never seems to get far from me when I am at home. Thanks for showing your collection.

I love your collection I have approx 35 now and posted some vids on the tube if interested I will have to use your collection as a shopping list.

Search mrrampro and sodbuster and that should get you close on yt.

Wow Trev! I love all of them but the Italian and French ones are very surprising. Had no idea the design was so universal.

lol, I've already watched your vids while looking around for different soddies Mrrampro! I need to score a red Case Sodbuster like you have. Didn't even know they existed before I saw your video.
