Sodbuster...and lots of them!

Wow! Super collection, and I have to say I really like those stag handled ones too. The Schatt, and the Celaya really caught my eye, as well as some of the more traditional handles like the yellow bone.

I have two a Case Sodbuster Jr. and a GEC black Bullnose and it's funny, I just picked out my yeller Case to carry to Scouts tonight, and now I see this thread...cool!

Nice Collection, I have the Kissing Cranes & Schrades as well and was quite surprised at how decent they are for the price. Good walk and talk and the fit&finish was right on. I still need to get pics of those and post them up with the others. I'm jealous of your Red Sodbuster Jr, hopefully that is one of the new one I hear Case may be releasing.

mrrampro! That´s also a very nice collection... congratz on that nice knives :)

Kind regards
Andi

Her is a closer pic of the red ones one is marked "PROTO" and the other is just red I don't have to much info on either. I will post a pic of the other side as well. This is some of them I have more now the CF Case Soddie is cool as well.

Those are good lookin! So, is it me or does the one on the left look more orange than red and is the one on th eright smaller than a regular Sodbuster Jr?

Congrats for this amazing collection, and thanks a lot for sharing with us.
Regarding to the Spanish sodbusters ('navajas de campaña' o 'navajas de pastor', pastor meaning 'shepperd'), the Celaya you post as smooth bone is in made in fact with bull horn, a really nice one indeed.
Thanks again.

Thanks Sevilla, made an error on that post and have since corrected the info. I'm Hoping to add some more pics of some recent soddies as well as some I haven't photographed yet on thursday. I'm still trying to find a place over seas that sells the Fredrich Herder abr Sohn sodbusters and that doesn't require bank transfer, its been tough!

Thanks for sharing. Your post brought the Bear and Son Farmhand in 1095 up on my radar. It peaked my interest since it doesn't look like I can get a new Case Sodbuster in black with CV.

I really like the Sodbuster pattern. So far, it's the only traditional pattern that has found its way into my EDC rotation in the form of a Case American Workman dark blue Sodbuster. I should be receiving my GEC Bullnose in the next few days.

Ok. Time to share... EDC Soddie:

Here are my other two Sodbusters from the mid 70's which are pretty much safe queens now:

Nice Jerry!
Why, thank you!

That locking Case is nice, hard to come by! Enjoy your GEC!
That's what I hear about the case. My father carried those back when he was in high school. He purchased the stainless steel Sodbuster for the lock, but switched back to the CV model since he preferred the carbon steel to Case's stainless steel. The locking sodbuster is a tough knife though. Not only do you have the strong back spring to contend with, but you will need to get past the liner lock for it to close on you.

Oh, and I love the GEC. I've been toting it around since it left the tube.
