Sodbuster...and lots of them!

Given the excitement over the Mudbug, I wonder if Case would ever consider doing a locking version of their Sodbuster?

Case did have the liner lock Large Sodbuster for some time, one can still be found online from time to time.

They sure did! Between the liner lock and strong back spring, it's not going to close unless you want it to.

Just wanted to show what Soddie I'm carrying today...

Does anyone have any solid info regarding the 2015 run of 71s?
Specifically if they are going to be made in 1095 or O1?

GEC doesn't seem to be planning to work in O1 as a steel anymore as far as I've heard.
All of the Farm and Field lineup coming up soon will be in 1095 as far as I've seen

does anyone know what the yellowish orange wood looking handles are in the latest GEC 71 production photos? I want a 71 in orange wood and I am hoping this might be it.

So pretty!
Thanks!
I need this.^
This one is mine! :grumpy: ...But thank you kindly. :D

Osage Orange and yes, it is a gorgeous knife. I believe there was one a page or so back in the thread for you to feast your eyes on.

GEC will not be making the 71 in wood or bone handles. The material that Camillus is referring to is the Natural Canvas Micarta SFO for CollectorKnives.

I have just received confirmation of this from Collectorsknives. GEC is not planning on running the 71s in O1 due to the price increase, the reason that they ran them previosly in O1 was primarily due to the comparable prices between the two alloys.

Well.. I have an orange delrin 71 and a natural canvas micarta 71 on order.. Now I see there is a red micarta coming too!! OH MAN!! The cc/wallet/ me are going to take a beating!! Do I really need 3 of the same??:D John

My favorite dealer is going to be selling one in Tortoise shell acrylic. I'm stoked about this one.

Not "wrong", just "ineffectually." If you use
