Thank you, my only Sodbuster, and really my only traditional, aside from a Puma lockback my grandpa gave me. I couldn't resist it! It's just perfect for puttering around the house.

It was billed as a Factory Test Run by GEC. There were 29 of these knives made.

As a massive sodbuster fan, this is the best post I’ve seen on BF in some time! :)

Cool soddie   , had not seen one like that yet

I spent sometime yesterday afternoon to give the gift of mirror polished bevels to my special chestnut ss junior

I reprofiled the bevel to 15 degrees per side ( factory one was very steep, double that at least). I then polished it with 3M lapping film. ..... scary sharp :)

Nice job, and i mean really well done.:thumbsup::thumbsup:. You have an absolute pearler of a knife now.:cool::cool:.

Very nice collection Ed Modoc ED Modoc ED

The Bull Nose ones posted recently look fantastic ! Superb pic Travman Travman and Tx308 Tx308 .

Is O1 steel a step above 1095 ?

The Otter Bastler Bastler looks very nice too .
The bigger ones seem to have a bit less of a belly as compared to the Case Jr ones where it's more pronounced perhaps, more stubby looking.
I like them all :)

Hope everyone had a good Christmas and is having a good break if you are having one. This is a large Bear&Son sodbuster, went straight into the tool box when i received it..

I will admit the one I kept for myself is a bear to unlock. Bear&Son would have so much potential if they just cared enough to maintain good quality control, imho.

I agree completely, this one has the same unlocking issues and up and down blade play. Was not worth it to return it, so straight into the tool box it went. Hope you had a good Christmas mate.:).
