Sodbusters, whos got em'?

You can find Case sods in CV on the Bay if you look hard enough. Yellow is uncommon, but I can point you to one- it's $70, but mint.

You know, your right. I think I'll get him a new one. Maybe a Queen sod buster would be nice for him. We'll see how long it lasts.

No, don't do that. He's had that Case for soooo long and used it so well, that it needs to be replaced with one of the same. It's obvious where his loyalty lays.

Here's my large Boker soddie. The fit and finish leave a little to be desired, but the steel sharpens up great and you can't beat the price. It's a classic design that's a great user.

I can't match some of the beauties in this thread. All I have is a Solingen-made Kissing Cranes Black Angus. A simple, hard working knife as has already been said. This one has a wrap-around haft so the spring is not exposed at the back of the knife.

Needless to say this thread has got me interested in some classier SB's.

I've been looking for a certain lockback sodbuster for a while now, the Bear and Son "farm hand" if i remember the name right. In my eyes they've got it PERFECT but no one has one in stock :(

these all look great - anyone abe to tell me how I'd be able to get myself a Jeff Cover Sodbuster pref with green micarta scales - my google-fu is weak :(

You might try contacting a member by the name of Durwood. He's put a couple up for sale already, and may have more or know how to find 'em.

I picked up four nice 70's vintage carbon and stainless Case Sodbusters at the local gun show this weekend. One little Sodbuster Jr in carbon was unfortunately was not in mint condition, its black delrin scales were cracked and broken. I gave this one a little tlc and updated it with some green canvas micarta scales. It will become my new EDC.

wouldn't be beyond doing that myself - anyone have any info on the hindge bolt - how easy is it to remove/replace?

Please take all discussion of this topic to either the "Maintenance" or "Knifemaker's Q&A" forums, thanks.

This is not my knife and now my friend thinks I'm strange for wanting to take some pics of it but he did oblige! Just the other day he takes this thing out of his pocket and cuts some wire....I said hey, hold on, let me see that sod buster! He said he has had the knife at least 20 years. He carries it and uses it all the time. Its a Case XX five dot. I just thought some of you would appreciate it as much as I did. Pretty cool stuff!

Thats amazing! yes he needs a new one and it needs to be another Case
