SOG TAC Auto

I had one quick question - I just bought on eof the satin SOG Tacs, and the handle inserts appear to be molded plastic - I was under the impression that they were G-10.
It's not a big deal to me, but perhaps Chris can clarify what the inserts are made of?
All in all, I am very impressed with the fit and finish of this knife. It locks up tight, fires hard and functions perfectly. I am very happy with it thus far.
I was disappointed to see the price went up though - I really think SOG was hitting a big hole in the automatic knife market at the original price - there just isn't a quality offering in the just under $100 range. There is no reason that a knife needs to cost more just because it's an automatic.
In any case, this knife is still a sound value and I'm very excited to start carrying mine.

The TiNi has squabbles. The slide lock only works closed. When the blade is open I cannot slide the lock all of the way forward, towards the blade. It only slides about half of the way into the lock position. I wonder if Sportsmen's Warehouse sells seconds? Hmmmmmm. I think I will take the TiNi back.

The lock should work in both open and closed positions. If you want you money back you will need to return it to where the knife was purchased. If you want us to repair or inspect it we can you will just have to send it in to us.
