I saw it. "A few more of these" means I sit at my computers every few weeks and get beaten by those who've somehow mastered split second keystrokes. BTW, tech savvy folks can easily automate the keystrokes and clicks into a function that'll do it in a fraction of a second. I thought of doing this myself, but too much effort. Down the road I might get added to a pre-order list and wait another year for that. Cool. One fair method would be have people post at 3 pm that want a knife and close this at 3:05 or other cutoff. Then, have random lottery drawing from this pool every 3 weeks. Those who win a lottery would be excluded from subsequent lotteries. The current system seems inherently biased , but that's only my opinion.
By my count this is literally your first sale you’ve actually tried to compete in. You didn’t come in last place, so that’s a pretty good start IMO.
The only other Friday sale you posted in was 10 days after the Friday sale was over. You have 17 total posts to date, and that includes your negative posts in this thread. I could understand if you’ve competed a bunch and didn’t get in, but you’re first try? C’ Mon man! “You’ll catch more flies with Honey than you will with Vinegar”.
I use an almost 5 year old iPad on Wifi, and not really that great of internet speed. Definitely not fiber optic. I don’t get in every time, and when I do it’s usually middle to the end of the number he’s selling. Unless it’s only 5 or 10 then I’m probably not getting in. I have proxied for others and that allows them to get in that may have not otherwise.
My first time competing in one of these, I did horrible. Instead of me complaining and blaming the seller, the others who competed, technology, or anything else I could think of, I asked questions “how”, and worked on improving. Mainly on improving myself and trying harder. I didn’t set up any special Macro’s, don’t have a blazing fast computer, and I’m certainly not a tech whiz.
Instead of coming in here and playing the victim card, why don’t you try to improve? You’ve admitted that you could automate keystrokes and clicks yourself, but it’s too much effort for you to put forth into something you really want. That sounds pretty silly to me.
It’s his sale, he’s doing the best he can, and knows that any system isn’t perfect.
His knives are limited, but he’s giving options for most people to be able to obtain one of his knives that try.
Good luck to you going forward, and do better sir.
