Soliciting suggestions for BTTT self policing policies

I just went to the individual sales forum. A listing at 7:58 PM on 4/11, was about 2 or 3 lines from the bottom of page 3. I think that is fairly typical of how things are going lately.

I've tried recently to check to see how many posts there are for each recent day, to see if I could figure out how many knives are actually selling. But that is near impossible because so many sellers list 3-13 knives on 1 post/thread. And, not all days have an equal # of new posts.

However, since one can instantly tell which ads you've read before, and which ads have been at the top since the last time you logged on, one can move through ads pretty quickly, unless reading each and every ad.

It seems logical to me that people who want to shop for knives are going to figure out pretty easily that if they want to see every knife that got action in the past 24, that they have not yet read that they need to go through 3 pages. If they're not willing to do that, then they weren't very serious customers anyhow.

I know that I'm not the norm. I read the individual sale forum daily. Usually visit it 2 or 3 times during the day. I only read the threads that seem likely to have a knife I'm interested in, or a pic of a knife with which I'm not familiar, or are vague enough to make me check it so I don't miss anything. I see no need to list every knife in the heading. A simple heading "Production Knives" means I'm going to read it. What if the knife I'm looking for is in there? When a knife lists an individual knife or even manufacturer or maker that I'm not enthused about, it means I get to skip it and get on to others.

Not sure that this has contributed anything -- migraine has me fuzzier than usual. Guess just want to say that oft repeated BTTTs don't make any difference to me in terms of whether I'm going to buy a listed knife, but they do annoy me. I have such a poor memory I probably can't come up with more than a couple user names I see as "offenders" but I do recognize them when I see them again. After awhile, increases the chance I simply won't read their threads regardless of content.
