Some Herman Williams Goodness

All I know is DON'T LOOK AT HERMAN MADE AND MODIFIED KNIVES JUST BEFORE BEDTIME. Worse than 2 cups non decafe jave. I will be awake untill wee hours in the morning. They are all very beautiful works of art. Thanks Herman for all you did to promote Schrade's name. You are truly a blessing to all us Schraceaholics.

G'day, here are some photos of my treasured 'signature' Herman Williams customised 227UH and 127UH, Uncle Henry Folding Bowies <Hunters>. They both feature brass bolsters, liners, pins, and shields and the 227UH also features a custom second blade. Absolute perfection with the toasted matching stag handles.....my photos not brilliant as I found them very difficult with so much reflective brass!
Thanks again Herman for these gems, which will always be kept together.
Hoo Roo.

Nice!! Talk about a matched set, the stag looks fantastic on that pair.

I like he addition of a finger groove in the bolster.

On production knives the grooves were used only on knives with a linerlock 125OT, 225OT, 127UH.
On custom knives you could expect to see diffrences hear and there.

Delmas, here's an LB-7, fully customized, even the inside of the backspring (and tang) is fileworked! :

Herman Williams is the Ace of Schrades. Opening a box from Herman is an awesome knife collector's experience.

Adding a bit of cross threading. Link to more goodness.

I missed this thread before. Great knives! Thanks to Herman for commenting.

Being primarily a Bear Paw collector that Lb-7 made me drool all over my laptop.

Herman, (For some reason I thought his name was Henry.) Does some really nice work.
Maybe one day I'll be able to acquire one of his knives. ;)

I had picked this display up earlier this year and filled it with the originally intended Schrade USA Uncle Henry’s and it looked really nice.

Later, I won a few of the Herman Williams auctions and realized I had a nice display to get them out in the open for my friends and family to see. The 127UH arrived yesterday!!

As you’ve seen in the other posts – Herman’s skills with Sambar Stag and Schrade knives are AMAZING!!.

Thanks Herman!! Best Wishes!! You Da Man!! -- Howie

Real nice display Howie! I bet we are all thinking the same thing:

"Any H. Williams 171UH and 153UH's out there?" That sweet display begs it.

I've shown these two in another thread, but Herman's work deserves multiple viewings.:D I picked these two up at a gun/knife show in Charlotte a whileback.

Dave - thanks for the kudos on the group display! I'm very lucky to have been able to put it together. Hoping Mr. Williams will be able to find some time later in the year to stag the 2 fixed blades.

DaveT - WOW!! That's sure some FAT stag on the lockback. What model did that one start life as? 3OT 5OT/UH?

Howie,
Its a 51OT frame for sure. Way too big for a 3OT or 5UH. I've never seen a clip blade on this frame except for this one. Not sure if they just ground the back edge of a regular 51OT blade or made these special.

Dave

DaveT -- I don't have a 51OT and missed that as a possible choice.

51OT?? VERY Cool !! Congrats!! -- Gotta love Hermans's work - so damn handsome.

Howie

Don't know where they all got to, but I did several of those 51OT knives with the clip blade. It is just the stock 51Ot blade clipped. I think some of them had laminated wood handles, most were stag. Herman[/B]
