I don't know about that. I'm sill new 'round these parts, but my research indicates the Jerry & Co. are stand up folks. Doubt he'd make up such a story just to help sell an awesome looking handle that doesn't look anything like it's namesake. Who know? Maybe all the flak Garth and Dan threw his way for his patch job was the catalyst for the name change.
