Some More ?'s About FF D2

Costs begin with the high temp, high pressure presses necessary to produce the superalloy required to fashion the correct and patented geometry of the bobbin, required, under precise, computer controlled multi axis loads, to put the proper feed/speeds, atmosphere and cooling rates, to develop the resultant thermal mechanically effected zone necessary to match the requirements of the most knowledgeable knife maker to actually form a defensibly patented product that slices and dices....

The marvelousness for insiders is that the price point is so low, given the 'oil patch' technology load.

You continue to misrepresent the point. It is not about the knife it is about you misbehaving. You are trying to compromise my opinion saying that it is all about me not being able to afford it. And this has nothing to do with knife. So I already explain what and why. If you read it it is all there.

.

You COULD just stop whining like a spoiled child.

If you don't want to try the knife out, fine.

I'll save the drama, and put you on ignore....OK?

No Regards,

Well, what I need just simple apologies. I think you own me one. You started it - I guess you should stop it this way.

However I will feel more then comfortable if you just stay away from me with all this idiotic blames and names you are calling me.

Thanks, Vassili.

Here's the facts as I see them: It should indeed be an excellent knife steel..................BUT the point is moot to the vast majority of us who purchase knives, as the cost is simply too much. It costs what it costs, but $400 is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy too high in price for a non-custom built knife. It's too high for MOST customs. The company will have a very small following, or possibly bankrupt within five years or less, UNLESS they can come up with something to sell below two hundred dollars. I guess my point is, it doesn't matter how great the product is if not enough folks can afford to buy it. Is it great? I don't know. Can it beat five one hundred dollar knives bought over thirty or fourty years? I doubt it myself. Maybe I'll be proved wrong. I hope the company gets customers and thrives, simply because I'd hate to see such great technological advancements wither on the vine.

Any new technology will historically, cost more to manufacture, initially, for all the obvious reasons.

But these knives with this steel are not custom?
Semi custom?
Can someone please direct me to any info regarding the grinding, assembly, etc. of the mentioned knives in this thread?

Also, is there a current user review of any of the models offered?

Thanks and sorry. Just tuning into this new kid (knife) on the block... :)
