Some More Thoughts on the Native, Spyderco (200K)

Spyderco held onto my two Natives (one used and one new) and sent me back two brand-new Natives. The printout said the speciemens were retained for developement purposes or something to that effect. I flexed them in my hand and tested out the Natives on some cardboard (how I first noticed the lock jump on my Delica). Well, the locks have some give. But now it is smoothly taking up the slack: a smooth curve between stress and movement. Before it was more like a step-function, a large sudden jump.

So going back to Sal's warranty of trying to please the customer if they are pleasable: I'm reasonably pleased with the products I have now. It was never a safety issue, just an annoyance issue. So now it doesn't annoy so much, I must conceed that I am satisifed with the resolution.

I got my Endura Wave replaced, as I said earlier. It arrived with the same letter you got. The new one has very slight vertical play, but not enough to concern me at all. I was impressed with how fast and responsive the customer service was.
