Wanted to share some of my more recent builds. I've been horrible about social media and posting things but I'm trying to get that on track. Thanks for looking.

Thanks. I got a new grinder this spring and its made life a whole lot easier. I had been using a Craftsman 2X42 for the last 10+ years and it had one speed ...really fast. So being able to do all my grinds post heat treat has been a game changer.

Having fondled most of these I can say they walk and talk as nice as they look!

Third one down is just gorgeous, the 4th down in Bog Oak is really floating my boat though!

Nicely done Tim and great to see you in here brother.

Edit to add: That top one is in a sales thread, show some love.

Thanks John. I think the top is the only one you haven't handled. The bog oak was one of my favorites. I carried that for a year before a relative swindled me out of it.

Gorgeous knives, any chance of seeing a lambfoot in the future? Asking for a ...err friend 😁

Thanks! I've never done a lambfoot but it might be something in the future. It seems to be one of those patterns that has such a followong that if you do it, you better do it right or the knife gods will punish you with even more hours of hand sanding. Lol

The knife gods aren’t that cruel, can’t say the same for lambfoot collectors however 😁

I have a small collection if you ever want some reference photos or if you have any questions about the pattern.

I might hit you up for some photos in the future. I don't recall ever even holding a lambfoot before.

Well, I stand corrected...Not only have a held one, I actually have one. It was given to me by Readmeadow Jr at lunch a few weeks ago! View attachment 2830074

A lamb should have a gradual taper in blade width throughout and typically with a swedge. Having that taper differentiates it from a sheep foot.

That was a very generous gift from young master Redmeadow 🙂

Those are beautiful!

Yes it was a very nice gift. I need to apologize to the little guy next time I see him for forgetting. It's been a month and I hope he forgives me. My son and family just left for Japan(Air Force) and grandpa gets to foster 2 dogs. So things have been a little "different" around the house lol.

I'd been meaning to how your two new tenants are working out. Cat still alive? 😁

Lol he still rules the house. They are good dogs but my life has become a doorman for dogs and a treat giver. The little one loves to chew on antler, bone or any nice handle material that is in reach. She does have good taste on what she likes to chew.

Heck even I have one and I'm not much of a folder guy! Very similar to your's indeed. Mine was a gift also, from Jack Black, Mr All Things Sheffield! I had it out doing some modeling the other day:

I'd just finished up a new batch of our Buckaroo Pouches and was looking for some different pics.

Thanks it's water buffalo. The tether end back braids on a belt loop and drops in your pocket front or back. Need your knife and pull on the tether. The pouch comes out and you use your knife leaving the pouch hanging. All done put your knife back in the pouch and drop it back in your pocket. This deal is pretty common in the western world and is often called a Buckaroo Pouch. Didn't invent it but we do sell a ton of these guys we make them in large batches:

They're kinda handy and very simple to make. Use to use lots of different leathers but did have some problem with tarnish. I test drove this water buffalo with this knife as I'd found that the nickel silver on this particular knife was susceptible to tarnish/corrosion very quickly in the other leathers. I made up one and left it on the bathroom counter, near the shower, for a bout 3 months with this knife in it. No problems, so for some years this water buffalo has been the only leather we use. The tether is an oilman that's not too stretchy. Bert the REdmeadow youngsters could make ya up one to go with that knife!
