Some recent builds

Looks great Tim! You nailed the perfect placement on th bat, it looks like he's just naturally passing by. The details in the slip are awesome, that's a nice touch.

This is one I finished and sold. The design looked good in my brain but wasn't sure how it would come out. I bounced some ideas off John about the placement of the shield. I liked the looks of it lower in the handle but that isnt a traditional spot. I showed John a few mock ups and he liked that spot too, so i figured we couldn't both be wrong! lol.

let me know what you think.
Happy Halloween

That is great I love the coined liners. my only complaint is the nail nick is on the wrong side.
Thanks. So I'm guessing you are a lefty? I made a knife for my son, who is a lefty, and asked him if he wanted the nick on the other side and he said "no..that would be confusing" lol.

As a lefty, I agree with your son. Too many years using wrong handed ones.

I never paid much attention to what hand I use to open a knife. I used to always carry a Swiss army knife for years and years so some blades I had to open left handed and I guess I just got used to it. I still will open with either hand but much rather prefer to pinch open than a nail nick.

Don't mind Mack Mack he was put together backwards, you should see his feet....

Hello Fellas.
Got a new one to show you. I've had this about done for a few weeks but finally called it finished. I was planning on putting this up for sale but I really just am not happy with the pile side bone. All looked good until polishing and then some light spots came out so I decided this one might stay with me. Other than that, it came out really good. I'm still trying to get the Jigging pattern right. I don't know how the old timers did it but i think they had some art mixed with magic! Anyways, let me know what you think. Comments and Critiques welcome.

If it has any flaws, which I can't find, they only make it more spectacular.

I agree. To me one of the great things about natural materials is that they are not cookie cutter pieces of plastic. That each is unique to me is a plus. I see the pile side not as flawed but as a bonus. Ya never know what's gonna happen. That's half the fun!

Where'd the white come from? I dunno.

I love the jigging on that one Tim, really old school. The light color on the one side is aggravating when it's not part of the plan but it does give it character. Those coined liners and easy open make that thing pop, love that pattern.
