I posted about my first CRK that I purchased on Wednesday of last week. A Blade HQ Exclusive small CF inlay Sebenza....

Well, the shipping was fast, it arrived today, but imagine my surprise when I opened up the box to find the wrong knife
Not only the wrong knife, but an exclusive for another dealer. What I got was a small CF Sebenza which is a KnifeArt exclusive.
Blade HQ shouldn't even have these....

On the plus side, it did answer two of my questions... I wasn't sure which size of Sebenza I was going to like, but the small is perfect.
The other thing I always wondered was if I would like the CF KA knife. I do :D

I just checked and of course BHQ is closed on weekends, so I will be calling them first thing Monday morning. I'm wondering how many
other people ordered the CF inlay knives, and got these instead ? If they sell all of the small CF inlay knives before I can get a hold of them, I am
going to be thoroughly pissed off.....

What? That is so weird... Blade HQ are really not supposed to sell these KA exclusives indeed.... I wonder what's gonna be their excuse come Monday...

Btw, I love Small Sebenzas too... I mostly have Smalls myself...

That is strange,
I have seen those things happen before, very rare incident, but it has happened. I think I read here that someone saw an exclusive that another dealer was selling as well.

That sucks when you are anxious for a knife you spent a pretty penny on. I wonder if it is a mess up when the dealer ordered from CRK or CRK fulfilling the order. BHQ probably just saw CF when receiving and shipping????

So the obvious question is, what is the box labeled?! This should be fairly simple to solve once you answer that :)

Man....Sorry to hear that. Hopefully they will get things sorted out. How about a teaser pic in the meantime!!

At least it was close! The carbon fiber small happens to be my favorite Sebenza, so you might just get attached to it:thumbup:

It will be interesting to see what they say... I went back and checked the website, and the receipt I printed out, an dit clearly should have been
a CF inlay knife. At first I thought maybe CRK sent the wrong knife, but they do so few on the CF inlay knives, I wouldn't think that
would be an easy mistake, but things happen.

I would think that would cause some bad blood selling another dealers exclusive

That's what I was thinking, and maybe someone at CRK had an off day and did the same thing

It's clearly marked CF Sebenza

I'll take a few here in just a minute

LOL... I actually really like it. I still want the cf inlay knife, but I may just buy one of these to. Maybe they will give it to me as a gift for my stress and disappointment :D

Gotta be a miss ship from CRK to BHQ Mike. I say you get away with an awesome experience to hold one, test the grip and see what you think, at zero expense! Then you will know exactly what to do or not to do the next time one pops up on the exchange. Then you will have to find out if all they have is the wrong knife, maybe KA has them :)

What a bunch of crud! Cant anyone do anything right anymore. Nobody has any work ethic any more?

Whenever I do any business with anyone I have to check and double check to make sure I'm getting what I asked for.

Here's a few quick ones...

I would think this is a mistake that goes all the way to the top so to speak. I'd be interested to see what a CF label vs a carbon fiber inlay label looks like.

I have no doubt you the end user will be taken care of in the end and you will be able to get what you want.

I know if I were knife art I'd be pretty mad about this. I don't have any knowledge of the business or what it takes to get an exclusive run,but I imagine it takes a nice chunk of change.

To be honost though I couldn't think of a much better "triangle" to be caught in. I've done business with the 2 vendors a lot and they have always taken care of me.

That's true. It's not a bad thing, other than being a little disappointing. At least they didn't send me a $20 Gerber lol

BTW OP I was emailing back and forth with Jacob at bladehq earlier today. I don't think it's a personal email account if you like I can pm you the address

Wow Mike..that has to be a rare occurrence indeed..I sure hope they have the actual inlayed versions for you or will get you on a list for one.
It's good to know the difference between the two options I suppose, but you don't expect to have another companies exclusive show up. Like was mentioned, it seems like it was probably a mistake from CRK.
Like everyone else, they too are fallible.

Cheers to getting it resolved soon!

Let's not be so hasty to jump to conclusions. All the companies involved have very good reputations and they all have very good customer service from my experience.

Uggh, that knife is disgusting. Send it to me; I'll make sure you never have to see it again. Just the kinda thing I'd do help a guy out. [emoji6]

Hopefully in a few days I will be able to tell you what the difference in the labels is :D I'm sure companies are very protective of their exclusives, and rightfully so

Thanks. I did get your p.m. I appreciate it

Thanks Bill. The wife was standing next to me when I opened it, and said I had the strangest look on my face when I saw the knife.
She said, Don't you like it ? I had to explain the scenario and show her what the knife was supposed to look like :D

Absolutely. I didn't post this with the intention of badmouthing CRK or Blade HQ... I'm a little disappointed, and baffled, but I'm not pissed.
Hell, everyone makes mistakes, it doesn't matter who it is.... Now if they send me an email and say " Sorry but we are all out of the CF inlay knives" I will beless than thrilled

I can't tell you how many hours I have spent searching for one of these, and checking BHQ's website quite a few times every day.
In the grand scheme of things, it isn't a crisis. Yet.... :D

Thanks. I appreciate the support lol... If it is okay for them to sell it to me, it may not be going anywhere :D

Wow....

I have no doubt you'll be taken care of, but I can understand the frustration.
