Just curious, what is the date of birth on that knife?
This could actually be fun, albeit expensive. Imagine if you had the option of paying your money and receiving one of several different CRKs in that price, but you wouldn't know which you were getting until you opened the box. Exciting...
The only real issue here is that the inlay version is more expensive than the straight CF version, IIRC.
Got the same knife you recieved, only I ordered it on purpose two weeks agoAbsolutely love it so far!
Sorry to hear about the mixup, Mike, I'm sure it'll be resolved to your satisfaction.
..and just think, your first and you've already made CRK history.

Yeah, I'm not worried. It will all work out
Mike,
Flip it.$

So . . . what has happened???
This blows :grumpy:
LOL
I just got off the phone with them. They do not have the small cf inlay knives in stock. The entire shipment of smalls was the KA exclusives...
So it's possible that the BHQ knives went to KnifeArt. They are trying to figure out for sure exactly what happened. They do have the large cf inlays in stock though.
SO.... If anyone else ordered a small cf inlay knife, you won't be getting the correct knife.
It's not their fault they got the wrong shipment, but perhaps they should start checking shipments to make sure the got the stuff they actually ordered.

It does. I'm sorry buddy.
Man that sucks! I'm sure they will take care of you though. Maybe they will upgrade you to a large free of charge for your troubles
Kinda funny as that is exactly what I predicted on the first page of the thread. Deductive logic for the win!
Lack of attention to detail in the labelling and shipping department for the loss!!
Let's see what happens. This is like a soap opera!
Sorry for your troubles. If it makes you feel better one of my 3 incoming is MIA! Better the wrong one than none at all.
So . . . what are you going to do? 1) Keep what you got? 2) Wait for a small CF inlay to be made, sent to Blade HQ and then on to you? 3) Take the large CF inlay? Or something else??
Mike I can hear how frustrated you are but I urge a little patience.
I have no doubt that even as I write this CRK are talking to KA and checking to see what was shipped and how this screw up happened. This is a big problem for all three companies which they have to resolve.
I am also sure that now that they know that you are blowing in the wind they will arrange to get you a small BHQ exclusive post haste.
BHQ should step up and at least offered to get you that Small BHQ exclusive when it gets in stock. They should also send you a prepaid mailing label to return that KA exclusive.
However, the BHQ exclusives has a really long wait time. They usually go back in stock in 6 to 8 weeks (s35vn blade) per previous observation..
That was my feeling as well, but they didn't, and that really didn't help my outlook on this situation. They did send me a pre-paid postage label for the shipping back though.
They said it was CRK's fault which it may have been, but they aren't totally to blame. BHQ should have checked their shipment when it arrived.
If that was my business, we would be having a Shipping and Receiving department meeting today...
