Somebody screwed up big time... 3/31/16 UPDATE

This is the last time I will bring this up.
This is NOT the GB&U- If you want to discuss the merits of a dealer, good or bad, you know where the GB&U is located..If you don't know, PM me and I will inform you so that these important matters can be handled in the proper venue.

338375, is your screen name referring to the chambering of the wildcat (Demon) based on the 375 Ruger?

My user name is my two favorite rifle chamberings, the 338 Win Mag and 375 H&H. They are both oldies, but they still work great.
I have been a little out of the loop for a few years but the 375 Demon sounds interesting.

Heck yeah Justin... With social capital comes the responsibility of helping out the common folks :D

PM incoming!

By the way, 338375, is your screen name referring to the chambering of the wildcat (Demon) based on the 375 Ruger?

Ohhh the Ruger wildcat +1 for you picking that up. I thought it was some important numbers to his family or something like how people do initials.

I got a call from Thomas at BHQ, and they now have the correct cf inlay knives... Not long after getting off the phone I had a confirmation email for my order, and it is shipping out today...

BHQ and CRK have continually apologized, and as a bonus, CRK sent a newly designed ball cap that hasn't been publicly released yet, to be shipped with the knife.

So, if anyone still has issues with BHQ and CRK because of the mixup, you won't get any sympathy from me... Both companies kept in communication and did what they said they would do,
and I don't think you could ask for better customer service. I will be buying more CRK knives, and I will definitely buy from BHQ in the future, if they have the knife I want.

Told ya! I know the wait sucked but had confidence you would be taken care of. Keeping a cool head about things helped you out a lot too I'm sure. Glad it worked out for you.

Thanks. Yeah, I knew it would work out, just took a little time. It was nice getting to play with the KA CF knife for a couple days. Now I know I like those too :D

Awesome to hear!

Thanks. I haven't given up on an Inkosi :D

So my ? is 9+ years and almost 19,000 posts and this is your 1st Sebenza-Where have you been :)

I've been hangin out in here off and on for awhile, but mostly lurking and learning... I spend a lot of time in the Benchmade subforum, and I've been using
and collecting them for roughly 18 years. I've thought about getting a CRK for some time, but never could get myself to commit.
Quite honestly, I have always been very happy with my Benchmades, and I never saw a need to try one. After reading countless articles and many of the threads here, I finally convinced myself that I had to see for myself...

I have no doubt I will like this knife, but it takes me a while to adapt to change.

Lol. I jut noticed this one too.... :) Welcome to CRK is in order then... :D

Thanks ice_man

We're Sebenza bros now, bro. :)

Mike thanks for keeping us in the loop. Everyone screws up sometime. It's how you deal with the problem that separates the good companies from the mediocre. BHQ and CRK have shown just how important comms and service is. Well done to them and to you for the way you handled it.

I look forward to reading your review of the knife.

Have a great weekend bro. :)

You are welcome Steven. Absolutely, any company can make mistakes, after all, they are run by us humans, and I know I've made my share of mistakes
over the years, and will probably have a few more along the way...

Both companies were great. I have to admit that I wasn't expecting to be kept in the loop, especially once they got the KA knife back.
Not because of anything they have done in the past, or anything negative I have read, but from past experience with other companies, I expected
lack of communication to be somewhat the norm...
I know in the past, I've had to keep communication going with companies when dealing with problems, but that wasn't the case with BHQ and CRK.
In all fairness, I've never had issues with knife companies. I've dealt with Benchmade and Buck a few times, and they were both outstanding as well...

My knife will hopefully be here tomorrow, Monday at the latest. If it does arrive tomorrow, it will be exactly two weeks since I received the KA knife.
So, making contact with BHQ and getting the process started, time for both companies to figure out what went wrong, shipping the knife back, and
having the correct knife in hand in two weeks really isn't bad I don't think. Sure, I would have rather had the correct knife the next day, but that's not realistic. Just wishful thinking :D

When I talked to Thomas on the phone, I asked if there had been quite a few other people in the same situation ?
He said there had only been three, and that was including me, but what surprised me was that he said because of this thread, they were able to
stop sending out more of the knives. I thought that was really cool...

Hope you have a great weekend as well. It will be a REALLY good weekend if I get a box from BHQ tomorrow :D
