Somebody screwed up big time... 3/31/16 UPDATE

Except your box was labeled correctly. So, my guess the ball was dropped in two places. CRK shipped it to HQ and they didn't catch the mistake and shipped it to you.

Either way it doesn't change my opinion that they are to stellar companies. They just made a mistake. Good companies make mistakes all the time... Anyone remember the Nova? 😂

His box was labeled incorrectly, actually. The bladehq cf inlay models will say "carbon fiber inlay" on the box as well as the birthcard.

Except for the fact that his was labeled "black carbon fiber" and that is what it contained. It was in the proper box, just not the knife he ordered. This is not the box and knife combo bladehq was supposed to receive, so I can understand (not excuse) their oversight in assuming they were sent the correct shipment.

But he didn't receive an inlay model like he wanted/ordered. The box/label and knife matched, they were just incorrect according to his order.

Correct... If I would have ordered a small CF from KA, everything would have been fine. I am a little perplexed though because Jacob from BHQ said that
their inlay knives come in boxes with the same label as the KA knives which only say CF Sebenza, with no mention of inlays...
Yet others here say that their inlay knives were labeled as inlay models on the box. :confused:

I honestly don't have a label to compare and could be mistaken on exactly what the label says. It was an honest mistake and like I said, we will make sure you get the correct knife as soon as they come in.
 
Just heard back from CRK. We should have our correct knives next week and will contact those that received the incorrect ones. Thanks all.

I'm sure it would have gone the same way if it was only one page of posts (or none). The reaction of people here is not the reason it was resolved. Both CRK and Blade HQ are reputable companies that work to make their customers happy especially when they are at fault.

No, it's not ok... It's like you guys (CRK and blade hq) just told me Santa and the Easter bunny don't exist or have illegitimate children overseas... These are too great of companies and incapable of making mistakes! 😜

Agreed... With or without this thread, after I sent my emails to BHQ and called them explaining the mistake, you can bet both companies wanted it resolved. My end of the deal was the easiest to deal with. Well other
than the devastating disappointment :D, all I had to do was ship one knife back. They had to figure out what went where, and how to fix it...

Never any doubts,all would get worked out once CRK and Blade HQ had a chance to look into it. I am sure the OP will soon have the knife he desired. Just a small bump in the road of life.
