Someone must have hit the Snark button on their alarm glock!

Second time? Seriously? I thought this was in Europe before I read that it was San Antonio. "OH MY!!! There's a cannon here! EEEEEEK! We all better evacuate THE ALAMO! Quick, authorities, come and take it!"

What happened, Texas? You had a good thing going.

OK... I'm done. :foot: Time for more coffee.

The major metropolitan areas (Austin, Houston, San Antonio, and to some degree DFW) have been infested with Californians....who moved from California because of high taxes and government restrictions...and then they proceed to try to change the laws here to make them more like California...duh!

Bomb squad needed to dispose shotgun shells...seriously?

I think I have some old paper shells somewhere. Maybe I'll call Homeland Security before they explode.

I can understand the Fire Department panic, but would think the bomb squad would roll their eyes and explain the ridiculousness of this so they didn't get any more stupid calls. Unless they enjoy the excitement in their otherwise tedious duty day... Gee, no bombs today, so lets go play around with "dozens of rounds of ammunition."

Ah.... About like the stories of yuppies that move out to the country and gripe about the smell of a nearby farm or the shooting range built in the back 40.

I was going to mention something of the sort earlier...I've heard that about Austin but wasn't sure about San Antonio. Guess it's confirmed. Alex Jones has a bunch of clips where someone has a petition with something ridiculous, and lots of ppl sign them. Wow...

I grew up in the Panhandle and never made it down south...guess I didn't miss much...

Yeah, I didn't see many great BK21 deals. My favorite place still has several BK5's for sale for under 50 though.

Thank you for saying something. I wasn't sure what to say... And ob Texas Independence Day no less.

Speaking of... I'll be in Huston for a day later this month. Anything I need to check out?

got one of the bear grylls parangs today from a freind who didn't want it any more. I have to admit, it's not horrible, it will do just fine as a tool to toss in the truck in case of an emergency

Fer sure...haven't handled one myself but anything menacing looking enough to deter, and throw and run lol

for those looking, the killer deal on the BK21 is on that weight-falling site you have to sign up for to get deals by email -- rhymes with drassmop.
price with shipping is just a hair over half of MSRP.

I am monetarily unable to purchase one, I guess it's a good thing but now I'm gonna see an influx of new 21 owners posting photos and stuff. I don't know if I can take that :(

It's been windy but warm the past few days, dried up the ground enough for me to ride my motorcyle a bit last evening. 65 or so degrees and I was able to stay warm with just an unbuttoned flannel shirt. Now today it's not gotten over 25 degrees and it was spitting snow most of the day. :grumpy: Spring needs to get sprung already.

Johnson Space Center and the nearby Fry's.
 I hope we'll have time for the Space Center.

What part of Houston are you going to be in?
I'm not sure where we'll be staying. We are flying in for a family event nearby with some of the in laws. For when our flight home leaves, we'll have a day at the end of the weekend in Houston.

You might also check out the Kemah Boardwalk and possibly the Saint Arnold's brewery tour.

I had one of the compact ones. The sheath was aweful and it didn't hold an edge well but I liked the size and balance of it. I hear the fullsize ones cut like lightsabers for the few cuts they can hold an edge.
