Nah, this wasn't that. It was the president being a little too casual with his replies. I made a suggestion about their product line and he said "not gonna happen" and then explained why they did it the way they did. I said "too bad. Guess I won't be buying one then." which I guess could have come off kinda prickish but even so that doesn't really require a response. He emails me back "you need to buy what you need to buy". No I'm-sorry-you-feel-that-way or anything like that.

was his name Mike?

One of my coworkers had one a few years ago, I think it was an '06 model. She was not happy with it. Said it was a gutless POS. I've heard a few other reports like that but nothing too specific as to what makes it a POS.

One of my coworkers has one and feels it is pretty gutless as well.
there was a 2 year stretch it needed a lot of repairs, but it's been fine since.

I had an email exchange with the president of a company that I thought was rather unprofessional but wasn't totally sure how to take it since a lot can get lost with just text. But I decided after I posted the quoted convo that I was probably overthinking it. That and I go out of my way to avoid that kind of drama and by posting the emails for everyone to see I was creating it.

Ahhh. Yeah I guess I don't blame you for unposting that. You may have caught all kinds of hell for it.:p

This one's an 05 with around 124k miles on it. The transmission only has around 80k on it. The lady who owns it works at a tire shop, so the tires and maintinence is all good, and all the recalls should have been taken care of as well. If I get it it'll be my daily driver for hopefully quite a while, so about the only offroading it would do would be in the fields on the farm, maybe a bit into the woods to hunt out of once or twice a year. Gonna go check it out tomorrow and see if it's OK or not.

I'm so done with apartment living it's not funny. Lease is up and I'm getting the Effingham outta here. Next weekend will be full of carrying stuff down the flights of stairs. But plus side is I'm moving into a house with a the car garage.

Yeah, I'm in an apartment and my lease is up. I'm not putting down roots here though so buying is not an option, least not one that makes any sense. Looked at other places but everything sucks and between not liking places and the hassle of changing my address with everyone and all the other BS I decided to just stay in this place and sign another lease.

We are looking at buying a house in the next few years. I'd like to get out of town a few miles, so I can do fun outdoor activities that are frowned on in town. The only problem is that I'd have to purchase something expensive for snow removal, because a snowblower wouldn't cut it. That and Misti would need a 4x4 instead of the Camry. Pretty sure we will end up buying something in town.

On another note, a friend an I did a bit of fishing today. We ended up keeping a couple decent pike. I usually don't keep pike, but decided I'd start keeping some this year. I've never really cleaned them before, so it was interesting. I kinda figured out what I need to to next time I keep some.

Hello chaps. How is it be? Tremendous I trust. Anyway, just thought I'd sign in. By the way, the only thing I took from the veritably rapid scan of the last 25 odd pages is that C-bear was going to have symphonious sex with a good meal in a box. Harmonious fornication with edibles in cube-shaped packaging. Haha! C-bear. That guy!

Awesome! Been there. Done that. We moved out of the apartment last fall. I'm pretty sure they deducted from our security deposit to fix where I had been clawing at the walls.

Anyone have experience with a Jeep Liberty? Might be getting one...

My wife had a 2005 liberty years ago. It did better off road than the grand Cherokee i had at the Same exact time. Both were 4x4 iirc.

She never had any issues with hers... She loved it.

I looked at jeep myself as well. The new, non wranglers, look funny in my opinion. Not sure what they are thinking... Wranglers started at 35k base where i looked... I asked the guy if he could drop to 30k and he said no straight up. He had a 2015, not the base model, with 12k miles that he could do at 32k... Had leather.. I hate leather... I ended up walking.

I'm in the middle of having a new roof put on my house... Well actually I'm having them build a metal roof over the existing roof. There is no leaks or anything in the old roof... But it's almost 20 Years old so this is more of a preventative thing... Plus helps for looks.....

But anyway the roof supervisor guy is looking to buy a New Tacoma... His wife has one with 250k Miles on it and it's still running strong... I hear stories like this all the time. That's one reason i went through the hassle of buying a new tacoma 3 times now lol....

Will ditto this. We took one for a test drive years ago because the wife liked the look of them. If I didn't already have experience with a TJ back in the day, I would never have looked at anything Jeep again. The Liberty is garbage wrapped in what is a trendy looking jeep body. My personal experience YMMV

I want pictures and video of this. Sounds kinda hot.

Tim, that is nothing that you or I want or need to see. However, I'm sure that lad Hoss will have some 1080p footage of said interactions.

P.s. you sound kinda hot.. Wink wink, nudge nudge..

Cleaning pike is a challenge from what I remember - triangular skeleton makes them near impossible to filet.....IIRC I ended up more with fish sticks.

Apartment living.....don't know how you guys do it. But, I'm having to contemplate exactly that. Don't know how much longer I can maintain living in my house, and I'm pretty sure that unless money falls from the sky, buying another one isn't an option. We'll see.

All my veggies are trying to flower too early i think. I got bell peppers 5" tall with flowers on them.

The largest plant is one of the tomatoes.. Barely a foot tall... But all plants have flowers.. Hot peppers sweet peppers and the maters....

I have read about pulling early flowers to develop more root growth.... These thai peppers have like a hundred flower buds per plant... I'm not pulling crap lmao!

Let nature take it's course i guess...
