My wife had a 2005 liberty years ago. It did better off road than the grand Cherokee i had at the Same exact time. Both were 4x4 iirc.

She never had any issues with hers... She loved it.

I looked at jeep myself as well. The new, non wranglers, look funny in my opinion. Not sure what they are thinking... Wranglers started at 35k base where i looked... I asked the guy if he could drop to 30k and he said no straight up. He had a 2015, not the base model, with 12k miles that he could do at 32k... Had leather.. I hate leather... I ended up walking.

I'm in the middle of having a new roof put on my house... Well actually I'm having them build a metal roof over the existing roof. There is no leaks or anything in the old roof... But it's almost 20 Years old so this is more of a preventative thing... Plus helps for looks.....

But anyway the roof supervisor guy is looking to buy a New Tacoma... His wife has one with 250k Miles on it and it's still running strong... I hear stories like this all the time. That's one reason i went through the hassle of buying a new tacoma 3 times now lol....

Will ditto this. We took one for a test drive years ago because the wife liked the look of them. If I didn't already have experience with a TJ back in the day, I would never have looked at anything Jeep again. The Liberty is garbage wrapped in what is a trendy looking jeep body. My personal experience YMMV

Alright, thanks guys. Gonna go check it out this evening and test drive it. If I do decide to get it I'll be sure to stick a Beckerhead sticker on the back as soon as possible. :D

Awesome! Been there. Done that. We moved out of the apartment last fall. I'm pretty sure they deducted from our security deposit to fix where I had been clawing at the walls.

Hahaha. Yeah I'm pretty sure I'm not getting all mine back.

I haven't lived in an apartment for a long time. It's been a very bad experience for me. My gf used to manage apartments and she's even said this place is pretty bad.

:D Why thank you sir!

How's the wee one?

Mate, you're always welcome..

The wee one? Short, fat, loud, completely uncompliant and farts like she was born in a pub. But she's the love of my life. Shat on my sister-in-law a few days ago. I'm still laughing..

Hello chaps. How is it be? Tremendous I trust. Anyway, just thought I'd sign in. By the way, the only thing I took from the veritably rapid scan of the last 25 odd pages is that C-bear was going to have symphonious sex with a good meal in a box. Harmonious fornication with edibles in cube-shaped packaging. Haha! C-bear. That guy!
This is the most elegant way I've heard that evening explained LOL! It took me almost 4 minutes to stop coughing from laughing thank you!

That right there is going to add at LEAST 21 horsepower PER STICKER! Don't you know about the magical sticker properties on cars?

Don't you wish it was acceptable as an adult to do that too? Someone is making you uncomfortable just shit on them.

Should remind your sister that some people pay alot of money for that kinda service.

It's taken me the better part of 40 minutes to rid that image from my mind. Sometimes I get concerned about my mental disposition. Only sometimes though..

I did. She owes me eighty bucks..

It looks like there is some fun stuff going on over on the TM Hunt Custom Knives facebook page.

I'm pretty sure everyone around here has made up their minds about your mental disposition a long time ago…

Cleaning pike is a challenge from what I remember - triangular skeleton makes them near impossible to filet.....IIRC I ended up more with fish sticks

From watching a few YouTube videos I gathered that you pretty much just end up with thinner pieces. I did see one video that showed another way where you end up wit some decent sized fillets. I'll see if I can find it again and post a link. It was way different than I've ever seen.

There's actually quite a few videos now that I'm was specifically looking for this method. This one shows it well.

Welp.. I got it. So far I like it. Definitely a Jeep, drives like one, rides like one. Got a good deal on it and it's in really good condition other than having been smoked in, but the smell was mostly in the seat covers which were mostly dry rotted anyway so now I have it smelling OK and it's got pretty nice looking seats in it. Gonna scrub out a couple small stains on the passenger seat, hit it with some Febreeze, wash it, and vaccuum a couple more things in it and I should have it looking and smelling good in no time. Has a little cigarette singe on the drivers seat, but that doesn't hurt anything and it's light enough that if I can find a gray sharpie I should be able to make it look like it almost isn't there.

Speaking of which.. What's a good but cheap fixed blade that I could put in it somewhere? Probably not gonna spend much more than 30 bucks on it, so it doesn't need to be top quality, just needs to cut stuff and be capable of working hard.

I'll consider just about anything Mora sized or larger, but it probably would be best if it was big enough to do some light chopping and such.

EDIT: As much as I dislike Cold Steel, their kukri looks like it would be good for how cheap it is.

A Mora....or something like a Kershaw Camp 10. Other than that, nothing in the $30 range is gonna be worth not spending a little more to get something reliable and long-lived, IMO. You won't regret spending $60, but you will curse yourself for cheaping out at $30, in my experience.....which at my advanced age is quite a bit.

Big river site has the Ontario SP1 for $35 right now.
What about the Ka Bar cutlass machete? High $40's and more like a larger knife than what I consider a machete.
Condor may have some good beater options too. The Hudson bay should be +/- $40. Their Kephart is just over $30.
