But i love my truck Hoss! Didn't have cash to buy something outright. I put zero down on my truck even.

I tried to go used but once i added gap and warranty i was looking at $350 payments for trucks with 80000+ miles... I'd rather pay 500 for brand new personally. Even my tires and rims are covered for 5 years.... Payments suck for sure but Its something I'm proud to pay on at least.

Wow...way behind on my snark...been getting ready for this weekend.

Ahh...Jeep life...every precious cubic inch counts. Loaded up and hit the road for Ocracoke Island. Caught the last ferry at midnight. Arrived at 11:50 lol! Me and m'lady, big ol' moon lit the way...

Glad all is well Gshark...considering

Congrats Dawson! Hope she serves you well, looks nice!

How's the brain leak Murph?

Good luck with the TJ Dubz, looks sweet!

Damn, 10 pages behind on snark suck!

Looks like fun. I am behind on the snark too. Finally over the flu. Every year I get the flu shot and every year I get the flu at least 3 times. I call shenanigans!

Snark! Long time lurker. Been around since the start of the beckerheads. Probably read 75% of all snark threads. Guess I better start posting!

The Jeep is a no go. I called the dealer to make an appointment for tomorrow, and the guy said they decided to wholesale it, because it's going to cost too much to fix. Apparently it's stuck in four wheel drive.

That stinks, but really your better off without a headache. My search went for two years of trying and giving up over and over. I ended up paying a lot more but found it and had low miles etc. Book value wise, I'm good. Around here person to person sells over book value due to demand. Dealerships get hobbled by the book and are forced to sell at the right price or risk the customer walking. Every decent deal I found was sold. More than once I replied within 30 mi s of a posting and was too late. Another I scheduled to look at after work, the guy messaged me that someone offered him more than he was asking so he had to do what he had to do...can't blame him. I drove 6hr round trip to find a bend frame...it goes on and on so I ended up at the dealership. Two weeks later with an awesome sales lady, she took me to the back lot on Monday morning after they had picked up several over the weekend, and I found her, ripped top, dirty, dented tailgate, and beautiful! They fixed everything AND threw in a new set of 31's after we made a deal! Guess I got lucky but my patience and diligence payed off.

Keep searching bro...

I will. There are benefits from buying from a dealer fo sho. I also wanted to trade in a car to help lower the cost. I would get more if I sold it outright, but don't want the hassle. Besides, I'd probably spend the money if I did that.

Could just be that the shift linkage is a bit off.... Especially depending on how they did the transfercase drop or if it has a body lift, etc...

Not sure, but honestly, when I saw it lifted with a winch, I figured it was used to go 4 wheelin'. I was a little uneasy about that.

Probably so if the linkage is jacked up a bit..... If it were closer and I could find the will to sell one of my other Jeeps, I'd be tempted to buy it (wholesale) myself, fix it up and use it as a beater wrangler. I still have my old YJ, but Jeeps are kind of like Beckers for me.

you found a 7 & 16 beach-walking?
I may feel the need for a visit to the coast!

So the ice storm made for the no go of the blow! Of the dams that is. Will put up a few picture later after I upload.

Shot a few explosive targets. Snowmobiling on ice = fun. Great day!

Not a bad haul for a couple hours...

Nice! I love seeing stuff like that.
Went on a fossil hunt to a new site last week, sadly it didn't produce anything good. No shark teeth, but always the same old shells. Pretty cool to see though, and the realisation that when you're sitting down to have a drink or a quick bite, you're actually sitting on a fossil beach or tide line is a pretty unique experience.

Edit: something totally different, but my dad found a pretty old police baton while cleaning some stuff up. It used to belong to his grandfather on his mother's side. Here's some pics and backstory: https://www.instagram.com/p/BDapeOiBjQe/
