Someone must have hit the Snark button on their alarm glock!

They do on the ESEE forum. Might as well have one here. I've always wanted a Jeep. "Closest" I got was a 85 Chevy Blazer.

I have an '84 K5. Love that rig, but a jeep would be nice.

It's a 99. Wrangler Sport. Lifted, good sized tires, etc.
TJ, good buy!

+1

Sounds good to me, but then what would we talk about in the snark?

I've already gotten the grumpy Grandpa's opinion on it. :D He says the noise it makes when it starts (the idler pulley squeaks a bit) is a dealbreaker and he wouldn't own it if you paid him. The best part is that he says his Ford Explorer is the best vehicle on the road, but it makes awful noises all the time.

The weather I guess...

I've know at least three people with '95 Ford Explorers and every one of them was a POS. There's a reason they're nicknamed "explorers". And for some odd reason all Fords have noisy power steering pumps, or at least they did up through the 90's and early '00's. Now the first gen up to '94 when the front end was still boxy, you don't hear much bad about those and you could get them with a 5 speed if you wanted. Not sure why I've heard and seen so many negative reports about explorers but not so much from the Rangers they're based on, specifically the '95 model year.

The nice thing about working nights is that there's no wrong time to start drinking.

Drinking when the sun comes up sounds pretty awesome

You could just stay up really late.

:D was an awesome day brother! thanks for having me over :D

Well, it's not here. Did you check in WW's room?

I must request video documentation of this event.

Jeremy

Pfft, I still get ID'd every single time I try to buy alcohol. I can show up with all 3 of my kids in toe and they will sit there and stare at me like I brought them bottles to look at... not purchase.

:D just be sure to turn that sucker upside- down, see if you can make it launch! or put enough 'boom' into it that it vaporizes it :D

Packing up :(

Flight out is tomorrow morning eeeeearly :thumbdn: I wish I could stay down here longer!

What up! Wow I haven't been on here in a while. How's everyone doing? I finally got my shop up and running, now I am working on my bladeshow gear.

Careful with that. There is a law as to how dark they can be. The installer will know, but some will install whatever darkness you want.

Doc

Imagine your opinion of the Florida sun isnt going to get better when June or July get here lol. I like Florida just fine but would just as soon limit my visits to fall and winter there. 107° with 110% humidity, no thanks!

Happy late birthday though!

In more serious news. When I got out of bed and looked on my phone I had several instructions from friends to tune into the news. Turns out the plant where I worked when I quite to go fulltime is right now on lock down with a active shooter. To early to know the details yet, no names have been released, I've texted some friends I have that still work there and are in the building now on lockdown. They dont know much, they arent telling them anything. The news does say there are at least two dead at this time. This place is a mile and a half from my front door. I wish I could say I never saw this coming. But the way people are treated there im supprised something like this didn't happen a long time ago. One of the reasons I left. Scary stuff! .......... Oh, and by the way! The plant manager made it a gun free zone just so you know. Maybe this asshole didnt see the sign!

Happy belated Birthday, Tricky Dicky. Glad to hear it was a good one.

I love Kryptek patterns, I think a full truck wrap would look fantastic.

Assuming it's safe to eat, I'd be will ing to try any animal. Dog, cat, monkey, horse, hagfish. Whatever. Heck, I'll eat chorizo so it ain't no thang.

Hope it's nothing serious, Murph.

Good luck and God's blessings, Murph!

THIS. IS. FLORIDAAAAAHH!

:D
I'm especially digging the light bar.

WW, that grill makes the truck look so much better. Very cool.

That looks pretty badass!

Thats just sh|++¥ ideas leaving ur brain...Dang Murph...hope all is well. Keep us posted bro!

Looks great WW!

Don't you mean in on 17?

Nice truck, WW.

Verdict is it's a severe middle ear infection. The blood was from me agitating the outer ear with a q-tip too much. I'm on antibiotics and more damned ear drops.

Shop update I'm ready for electricity, things are moving faster than I thought!

I'll probably make a mess with it too. Didn't really think about it much and just spooled it with the line I plan to use for trolling..........20lb power pro braid ...........that may have been a dumb idea.

Good luck on the boat. I'm really looking forward to getting ours out a lot this summer. I need to get a trolling motor for it and rebuild the carb on the outboard and it should be good to go. It ran pretty good the one time we took it out last fall, but it didn't want to idle right.

Yea they take some practice and i have never put in much time or effort... After making a mess a couple times i was happy to go back to a spinning reel.

However in deep water, if your just dropping straight down along side the boat... I'd prolly be ok with one lol.

And thanks bro... Prolly gunna have to let the boat pass this time though.... Id have to come up with 600... Really good deal but we just bought a new washing machine beginning of the month then just finished our new roof yesterday that cost 6400 and we planned a new fridge next month...

600 might as well be 6000 right now.

I'll save up and keep my eyes open for another deal!

I called about the Jeep a few minutes ago. They said it was in good condition body, and interior wise, but they had to order a part for the axle. He didn't know what exactly it was. Has a winch, so I'm guessing it was used to go 4 wheelin'. He said they had several hits about it online. Here she is. She's a looker:

Looks nice Dubz. Would be a good idea to have a mechanic inspect it just because it's a used vehicle but it sure looks promising.

I wouldn't be able to go there until Saturday. It's a few hours drive away. I wish it were closer so I could take it to my mechanic.

Sanded all the way through a corby bolt. Whoops.

Bummer, I think the best shot of the knife is when the sheath covers it. Two more 1084 knives then it's time to switch.

Snark morning fellas. Day off today, so after I nap I'm gonna see about catching a few pike before Misti gets off work at 3. Gonna take her out to dinner for her birthday tonight and maybe catch a movie as well.

What's everyone up to today?

That sounds like a good day to me.

Today is my last day of work before a long weekend trip to TX. It has been dead all week, so naturally, today is the day that all hell is breaking loose. I'll put out what fires I can, delegate the others, and let the hyenas pick at the rest. Then I'll run home to fix a leaky toilet and pack for a trip..... I'm wanting a good IPA, so I may need to make a pit stop on the way home.

Had a 90 minute death-by-powerpoint class after working a 13-hour shift. Bleh. Well at least it's over now. Until the next one...

Feeling lazy today. Skipped my morning Krav Maga classes. Probably will laze about, read, and then do some house cleaning, then go to the evening class. Heck, I'm even too lazy to take pics of blades today.

Ken Schwartz just announced he is now making Nubatama stones for the KME sharpener. He also released a 0.025micron emulsion at 3.2million grit.
