Nothing as weird as that, especially with the trap going off, occasionally i have a had a weird feeling and i just turn tail and wander off, not running but certainly fast.

kalama,
What do you stoke in that .45 pistol of yours? Is it for the pigs or two-leggers?

This reminds me of visiting inlaws and sitting in an upstairs bedroom (turned into a TV/conversation room) talking. 4 of us. 2 corner recliners and a couch.
Power goes out suddenly then lights and TV come back on about 10 seconds later. Both of us in the corner chairs look at each other strangely. I ask how he did that. He asks how I did that. Both of us were tapped on our shoulders when the power was out.

This house, being an old turn of the century home in upscale area, has had a long history of strange events. Most notably the long dead grandma being seen at the top of the stairs as you arrive at night. (Staircase just inside doorway & light at top of stairs always on) And the kicker is their dog see's her often. One night when they arrived home, dog at the top of the stairs recieving a petting by grandma.

Creepy

around here they use infrared to detect the wilderness grow ops......the weed has a different heat signature than everything else, even a small crop of 5 - 10 plants can be spotted easily.

They shut the IR off when they travel over CIA " approved" patches:barf:

aloha joezilla dont know if they were any graves around ,(iwi) are old hawaiian gravesites that just look like a pile of rocks stacked up, seen some in the mountians before but not at this location

masteroffajitas ,we sometimes hunt at nite thats when the pigs are more active,an feed

Aloha my friend.

As one who hikes a bit after the sun has dropped, I too have had a few weird encounters.

Mostly, like yours, I know something is there, but no signs are left to prove it; other then the hair standing on the back of my neck.

We have a ravine at my hunting club's lease that is described as spooky by anyone who has gone down in there. There's just something about it. My particular hunting area is on the edge of that ravine and more than once when I have been out in my area I have had images of of spooky things come into my mind for no reason (like thinking there is someone behind me). I wonder if the place did not have Native Americans living there years ago and they are haunting the place for some reason.

Thats really freaky...I used to get that feeling when I would go to my deer stand really early in the morning while its really dark out.

Spend enough time in the woods and you'll experience some weird stuff. Just glad to hear you had your stuff together and went properly prepared to take care of yourself. Ever hear of shadow people? I'm not superstitious, but I've had similar experiences in Georgia and Western North Carolina in the Smoky Mountains. Don't know what it was, could just be an overactive imagination, but during those experiences of mine I've felt like I was being watched. My hackles went up and everything. There are some spooky places in the world, that's for certain.

vance ,man that almost exactly what i saw ,it was just darker with only the moon an my flashlight beaming,an that sucker moved, that gives me some chicken skin looking at that

HOLY CRAP. That thing in Vance's pic made everything on the back of me bristle!

kalama - Dang, boy. You sure do have one exciting life over there, I'll tell you. I am really jealous and would just love to hang out with you for a good week!

I was gonna be a smart ass and say Bigfoot West or Malaysian chupa but I have had my own freaky things like that and i sure do respect your experience and whatever you saw there. Always be damn careful out there, boys.
