Sons of bit**es

First of all..Im glad that your daughter is fine and you and your family are safe. Sorry to hear about the break in though. Hopefully whoever did it..gets exactly what they deserve..and I don't mean jail time !

Yea as most have said the safety of your daughter comes first, I'm glad to hear she's ok and that she slept through the whole thing . Sorry to hear about them cleaning you out , you didn't by any chance have any kind of insurance on all your electronics did you??? Regardless material things can be replaced but the life of a loved one can not, your in my prayers brother. Wish you would of been home to give the thugs a double tap to the chest or a stabbing with that becker, but maybe the local LEOs will get them there are some things you can do as My family has been a victim of a break in before 1. call all pawnshops in the area describe what all stuff was taken so if anyone comes in with those combination of items it will throw up a red flag, that's how we caught the scumbag who broke into our house, he pawned half the stuff which got the P.D to learn of his identity then we went to a swap meet and saw some more of our stuff (my step dad makes a special mark on all his tools) and called the P.d from the swap meet and they arrested the guy and he gave up the man he bought the stuff off of. It's very important that you go through everything though, there were things that we didn't notice gone till weeks, or even months after our break in, you need to do a very thorough inventory of your belongings and make a list of anything you can't find, or that is gone, that will help the LEO's kick start the investigation. Hope they catch the Sons of B#&@#&$

I wouldn't cut down the shrubbery. I'd lay down some boards with numerous long sharp rusty nails in there and partially cover them with a light coating of the mulch.

Sorry to hear that. I am always worried about this too.

Glad the family is OK.

My anger quotient is maxed out by thieves!

when we got broken into we figured they might come back, As that's what the cops here said , so we parked the cars down the street my mom went to my Gmaws house and my step dad and i camped out in a dark house with 2 12 gauges and a pistol a piece just in case they wanted what else we had, My stepdad was a marine and the time I was active duty Army on leave so they woulda got what was coming to them had they came back but we weren't that lucky...

Why would they come back now? They already got all the good sh*t! :D

When I was a kid my family took our first vacation -- a long weekend in Boston. When we got home we found the house had been broken into and robbed.
My grand dad's .32 revolver was gone, as was the slide projector and a box with all the family slides in it (TVs were too heavy to move in those days!). No pictures exist of me as a kid -- thank god!
But it leaves an awful feeling of being violated. I remember having bad dreams for years following that.

And this really had to spoil your Christmas ... as others have already said, glad your daughter is OK

Glad your daughter is ok (physically) make sure she stays ok emotionally too... That is a really scary feeling to be there when someone breaks in.

That is awful, I'm glad everyone is okay though, there's a special place in hell for the kind of people that would do this.

Christmas is not ruined!
I still get to see my mom, all three brothers, all of my nieces & nephews, & my brother's grand daughter. She's a peach.

Everyone is ok, physically & we'll get all of our stuff replaced eventually. I might even get the 60" LED that I have been wanting. :D

K-9- very funny! Thanks for that.

I just got done with some last min. shopping and I'm feeling better already. This is definitely going to be a little scaled back but maybe that's ok.

I pretty sure my brothers are getting char cloth and fatwood. Maybe a BK-14 for my brother Allan. He doesn't have a Becker yet.

RK, I hate to hear about this kind of mess, but as I'm sure you've realized it could've been much worse. Some people don't have any morals at all. I truly hope they catch these punks and recover your stuff. I also hope you and your family have a merry Christmas despite this incident.

Bastards. Who does that for christmas?

well, don't forget to list each and every last dvd, game, etc they took. you don't even need those "back" per se, but it adds value to your claim; controllers, extras, everything.

if they DO find the perps, chances are good the dollar value you pick will be useful for prosecution, esp over $1000 and increments? mmm.

do you know the serial numbers of the items taken? if so, you can probably call around to pawn shoppes and such and see if that stuff comes in as stolen merch.

the police will probably not chase details that fine. "not worth their time"...

Sorry for your troubles rk. Stunning that someone would do that, let alone on Christmas eve. Glad you are keeping thing in perspective; tomorrow's another day.
