Spartan SHF Pic Thread. Let’s See ‘Em!

What's the backstory on that finish?

It was originally one of the full PVD versions. I scuffed it up with some scotchbrite to give it a "distressed" look. I have a few SHFs and didn't mind modifying one of them some. I am still going to do a little blending of the scale jimping to smooth out the sharpness of them. Probably not anything folks might normally do to their knives but I was enjoying doing it.

It also immediately removes any hesitation one might have about scuffing up their knives.

I dig the "drug down a gravel road" finish! Might have to do that to my PVD 😁
 
I managed to miss seeing this thread. Nice-looking knives, folks! My one and only SHF 3.5.

This may be my favorite SHF so far, the stonewash handle and engraving provide an excellent amount of grip, the anodizing is typical SHF beauty, and the action on this one is superb!
