spiked club

Mine don't have spikes, but they are still pretty cool!!!

This is an official 'Buford Stick' (Buford Pusser), signed by his daughter...

And this is an official '20th Anniversary Buford Stick', signed by his daughter and also the curator of the Buford Pusser Home and Museum (on the back)...

If I were to make a spiked club, I would use a wooden 'Louisville Slugger'. If I wanted it shorter, I would cut of the end opposite the handle to retain the end cap... The 2 'caveman-looking' clubs look 'EPIC'... but also look like they would be hard to keep ahold of...

BTW, here is Buford Pusser's daughter (Dwana) holding a 'Buford Stick'... this shows the size of the stick...

Man I love those Walking Tall movies, especially part three. Those were in part motivation for my spike club! does any one know where I can find the DVD's of the trillogy?
Thanks

Google 'Walking Tall Trilogy'...

Some of the larger video outlets should have it, you may want to email or call a few before making the drive. You may only have to put out $25 or so...

Better yet, contact his daughter Dwana Pusser and get her book 'Walking On', if you really want to know the REAL story of Buford Pusser without all of the 'Hollywood' added to the movies.

Sweet Staggering Sleipnir! What in the nine worlds did you use to make the spikes? That is totaly sweet. Outstanding job Bushman, outstanding.

Here's one I made lately, all 100% handmade manual labor :D

Made of birch, shaped with bowie (mmm, manly) and finished with belt knife (mmm, manly) and then burned a bit with blowtorch, nails added with heads removed and some hockey tape for the handle.

edit: forgot to mention that I call it "riot starter"

ouch. but it needs something........ a spike on the end!!!!!!:D

Here's mine. Chinese White Waxwood, hemp wraps, epoxy putty cap, hob nails and damascus spike....

the second does not have spikes, but upholstery nails for impact points.

I thought of that, but the riot starter is one handed so I thought I leave the spike out and I think this one looks a bit better without one... not that it looks good at all. :D

Very nice, very unique!

God, this is such an awesome trollthread.

Trollthread? This is serious business.

you should re name it the riot ender and sell it to your local police:D

I think that is a bit too politically incorrect for law enforcers. :D

Not Bushman, but thanks anyway. the spikes are cut down and ground from 5/8" bolts.
