spiked club

Hey Burningcort, I've actually thought of that but there is something about wood I like. I would actually like to make my own bat so
I could make it heavier at the top and a little shorter so I could still keep the bottom part of the bat.:D

While I can see the appeal of these, man would I not want to have to justify it's use to a jury.

As curio, cool. As a weapon...any prosecutor worth his or her salt would make you look like some drooling psychopath straight out of some B horror movie.

Crazy people have rights too!

and any good defensive lawyer will point out that the tool/weapon you used is meaningless in the "form of fear" if the use of force was justifiable....

True...but I still think you'd be making your lawyers job harder than needs be, and the big question is the 'if'. If you're lucky and the case was very black and white then the tool used should be completely immaterial, but of course we know that the vast majority of these sort of cases (particularly the ones that end up in court in the first place) are shades of grey.

true....and in the Judicial system I hate the grey...

I still want to make one of these clubs myself.....

Hey Burningcort, the most time consuming part for me was grinding the spikes, they took about 1 hr. apeice. Looking back the only things I would do differently is to leave the handle in tact and to make the spikes a little shorter.:D

ouch. but it needs something........ a spike on the end!!!!!!:D

Here's mine. Chinese White Waxwood, hemp wraps, epoxy putty cap, hob nails and damascus spike....

the second does not have spikes, but upholstery nails for impact points.

I really love that second one... excellent stuff.

Geez, guys. If I saw somebody approaching with one of those, I'd be torn between admiration and wanting to pull my 357.

I would take a look at the person's face/eyes to gauge their mood...

Think about it, WHOA!!! It could be a GIRL!!!

*ahem*

I'll say this:no way in HELL I'd want to get hit with that!

Also if I saw someone carrying such a device, even if I was armed,I'd consider running a better option then standing and fighting.

Very nice

This thing looks great, maybe you want to add a lanyard to make up for the missing knob.

The only thing that I think could improve this club is if the spikes in the middle were rotated by 90 degrees. This would present a spike to the target no matter how you hold the club.

Agree about rotating the middle row 90 degrees... it would look better, too!!!
