Guys, got a couple of question to the experts... First off, why was the Spirograph discontinued by CRK? Also, in terms of pricing, are the Basket weave and Spirograph Damascus the same?
 
Spirograph has finally landed. Had to rush home to get the package and run back to the office. In my excitement, I totally forgot my iPhone at home... and that happens like... never! :mad:

Have to admit that this knife hobby totally screws up my memory... :D

Now on to the part I was not happy about... I have a habit of removing the pocket clips whether it's a user or a safe queen, and that is how I found this..

The lock side part of the handle just looks unfinished or blemished to me. I am pretty disappointed on this one especially as I am planning to make this as a safe queen. :grumpy:

But, in any case, I know that a trip to CRK will fix this. I was just not expecting to do that for a brand new knife.

It's really smart to remove the clip asap if you like the sebenza clipless, the clip leaves a really ugly(shiny) mark where it hits the lockbar when beeing unclipped from pocket.

Oh that part I understand and is completely acceptable.. The one I posted was most of the lock bar area, where the finishing is really uneven and looks unfinished..

I know that, it was just a heads up for future buyers who like the clean look & feel of the clipless sebbie.
 
Ice, Sucks you arent happy with the finish. I didnt see it until you pointed it out though, just an fyi. Agreed, that it would upset me as well feeling its not up to the standard you were expecting.

X, you can't really see it in the photos but it's worse in person. I just couldn't capture it well. It feels pretty rough when you run your fingers in the lock bar area and there's a shiny and white marks all over.

But, the good thing is that it's just on the lock bar side. So might just send it over to CRK when I have other knives for Spa treatment.
 
curious, what did this knife sell for retail? i also like spirograph, have it on an umfaan and mnandi...........would like more...........
 
Beautiful knives guys. Really outstanding. Maybe someday I will be blessed with a large. But until then, you win. :) hehe
