The character storyline is great and all but I really miss the zombie threat. Now they are just things to be avoided but nothing to get too worried about. Not digging that aspect of the shows progression.

Or.....maybe he is a sort of "guardian angel" figure for the group and that is how they keep him in the storyline even though he wasn't in the comics.
Daryl's going to be feeling damned guilty for causing Negan to bash in Glenn's head and shouldn't Maggie be a little bit pissed off at Daryl for ultimately causing Glenn's death?
I need a drink.
I wouldn't exactly call him a guardian angel. In fact, I think Daryl has lost a lot of his savviness in the last few years and has made some very costly mistakes. Remember Maggie's sister and that wannabe doctor girl? Both died under his watch. And, you could argue that Glen's death was also caused by him. Don't get me wrong I like Daryl and would have him on my team any day but he's still prone to making some pretty bad decisions.Or.....maybe he is a sort of "guardian angel" figure for the group and that is how they keep him in the storyline even though he wasn't in the comics.

I would not mind if they got rid of Daryl at all.
The only problem with Daryl is he's gone soft and civilized. He's been running with the wrong people too long.
Thats what i was thinking at first, but really Darly would have been thinking he would cop it as a repercussion for having a dig at Negan. I think anyone else who would have tried to attack Negan would be killed directly, but Negan likes the "potential" in Darly. So it is Darly's fault but indirectly...
Needed a drink after watching it too. It was very heavy to watch..
Anyone know what Glenn was trying to say?
"Maggie...i will find you?" ..i think?
Edit: and if so..what did he mean? He will find her... In the next life?
Did not catch that but i remember that line! Very cool. Thanks for sharing. And boy was he right!A little bit of trivia for everyone-
The title of this episode was "The Day Will Come When You Won't Be"
I keep seeing that a lot of people think it means that Abe/Glenn "Won't be", nope---
It's referencing the dialogue between Rick and Edwin Jenner (the scientist) in the first season finale when Jenner shuts the doors and is going to kill everyone 'mercifully', and Rick talks Jenner into opening the doors to let them out-
Jenner: "There's your chance. Take it"
Rick: "I'm grateful"
Jenner: "The day will come when you won't be"
Could argue? It WAS caused by him. Daryl effectively killed Glenn himself.
Daryl's impulsiveness got Glenn killed, period. Maybe the writers are trying to make Daryl less of a fan-favorite so they can kill him off later.
Speaking of Jesus, what ever happened to him? I can't seem to remember at the moment. I liked him...smart, crafty, and a hell of a fighter (he gave even Daryl all he could handle). Seems like they could use him right about now.I Blame Jesus for all of this everyone was fineish alone in the world at Alexandria.
