I just got a couple of curved carving knives from Ragnar a week or two ago. I've successfully carved out one spoon bowl with them so far and thought "ok, this is not as weird as I thought it'd be." So last night, I sat down to start on a new spoon while my GF was watching TV. I was being inattentive, stupid, and careless
. This is the result:
Went to the ER and got stitched up; luckily it was a slow night, though it was still around 3 hours when I got out of there.
So, this is my first semi-serious knife-nut wound. I cut my finger with my Bravo-1 a while ago, fiddling around with the sheath, but a few butterfly closures took care of that. And here I thought I was doing pretty well having gone so long without cutting myself
.
So, lesson learned.
Btw, anyone have any videos on proper use of the curved carving knives?
