Spring 2013 Wilderness Custom Knifemaker's Challenge UPDATE, PICS PAGE 5

Moosey I can't believe you took all these reviews on by yourself, you're an animal !!!!! bet you probably regret that by now :D

again thanks to everyone involved on both sides of the coin..

Moose, et al. -

That was awesome!!

Thank you all for pulling off such an ambitious endeavor with such class.

A question to the judges and/or users of my knife if I may:
My knife lost points basically due to the square-ish handle, a sharp edge under the racasso, and the proud handle slab edge?
And because of the handle issues, its performance score took a hit as well.... am I correct with this?

Any thoughts, any input at all, would be greatly appreciated.

Ohh.. Moose...yes, the sheath is charred oak slabs with a one-piece moose antler welt.

Thanks,

Peter

Pretty much what Eric said. I wear a med/large glove. Your handle seemed to hit all the wrong spots on ma paw, and there were a few others that had the same issue.

Your knife, was truly spectacular. I thought your AFF, OP, and D, should have scored higher, but it was up to the 8, not just myself.

The quality of work was off the chart.

Sorry for the delay in pics that I promised, I got caught up in a romantic weekend with the wife in Atlanta. I will correct this tomorrow.

Moose - I've really enjoyed reading this whole thread and want to thank you for the massive amount of work you put into it.

I have two pieces of constructive criticism:

1) If you include both the username and the given name of each participant in the individual review like you did in the initial results postings it would be for easier some of us to cross-reference (and/or buy?) other work from that craftsman.

2) If you had a "posed" photo of each individual knife to add to the action shots we can better appreciate the aesthetics, blade shape, and ergonomics that are being reviewed. *I believe you may have apologized already for not having Glamour Shots of each entry, so sorry if this is redundant.*

I'm looking forward to the next one!

Pics as promised.

Progression through the weekend.

Gentlemen, it has been a true honor.

I sincerely hope ya'll feel like a good enough job was done in putting them to use, and offering a fair review.

I will send each knife back to the maker. I will ship USPS Priority Insured on each, if you will email me these specifics to ionz45@aol.com and put Knifemaker's Challenge in the title, please.

Name
Address where you want it shipped to
Insurance amount and additional add ons

I will ship them out ASAP after getting the info. I will take shipping reimbursement back at my PP account, same as my email.

If these terms are not agreeable, please email me the specifics of how you would like your knife returned to you.

Thanks to Moose and all for the time and effort. Gotta love the Challenges!

Wish they would sticky them all on WSS or find a way to have them all easily accessible.

I've only cut bamboo a couple of times...went better for my small chopper than my knives! Weird material bamboo!

All knives have been shipped to their owners.
