Damn Derek that sucks. But why am I not surprised your stopping at truck stops on the way home.
Myself, my son and Murph got home just after 7 this evening. As they always are, the gathering was a blast, many laughs, good friends old and new, great food food, great brews woods time, shop time all with the best host on the planet.
Ethan, thanks again for opening your home to us. Like I've said before, you are a inspiration and a perfect example of how people/professionals should be. Id say you have no idea how many peoples lives are better for you being in it. Myself included.
Erik, sorry about your maimed extremity. 6 stitches sucks. But I realize there probably not to many people in the world that can put there name on a scar on a mountain of a man like you. So, if its gotta happen, glad my knife can claim the scar!
This time was extra special for me because I got to take my best buddy with me. My son Jared made the trip and he had a blast. Thank you to everyone that went out of there way to teach/talk/play or keep a watchful eye out for him and for all the things he was given............ he didnt take the knife Ethan gave him off of his belt until he got all the way back to indiana so he could show his Momma.
Some pics:
My son Jared and I working on a tomahawk head.
His favorite thing he said was putting lead downrange. He got to fire some heavy hitters as well. Dont know many ten year olds that get to shoot suppressed weaponry. AWESOME!!!!!
Jerry D's wife squeezed some rounds off. Dont piss this one off Bud!
Evidently I missed out on the lizard catching class.
Thanks again Ethan!
