Day Ten ("X" if u want Roman numbers 😁👍) carry. Pre-2018 SARGE Official BSA Barlow. (I got it in '15 or '16 ... b4 I was forced to retire in '17). As it is one of my nicer Barlows (despite having 440A or 440C blades ... listing and packaging said "C". An sticker on the blade said "A" 🙄) and no one (or anything?) is home in the Maple Burl covers. ☹️🥺😭 I may keep this one as part of my EDC until 03-05-024 (my day XV) or longer.
I'll keep it paired with my (Taylor - Schrade offshore) Hammer Brand HB4PRB 4 blade Gunboat Canoe. It is capable of Stockman tasks. 😇👍

What a difference a day makes. I woke up on Day 9 to a 70 degree outdoor temperature ..... howling winds, a tornado watch, and sirens blaring ..... warning of a severe thunderstorm. 🤬:thumbsdown:⚡🌪️
Today I woke up to a 16 degree outdoor temperature, sunny skies, and calm wind. 😊 :thumbsup:☀️

Day 10

and in 6th err 7th grade ... and likely never reach retirement age ...heck!!! Might not even reach the age to get wedded, get a job other than news paper delivery person without violating child labor laws, get a drivers license, or even buy a beer or tobacco now days! If you had kids they would have had more birthdays than you before they entered preschool or Kindergarten ... (and technically you wife could get into big trouble for being with a "minor") ... no thankee! 😂

Parents of my best friend in Junior High and High School was only wedded once, & to each other when they was 18 or 19.
On their 5th Anniversary they were grandparents. They were Great Grandparents by their 11th or 12th Anniversary.
They got wedded on a 02-29, in the late 1930's or early/mid 1940's. (my friend arrived late to the party when his parents were in their early 40's)
All a their kids had higher age numbers than their Anniversaries had by the time they entered school.

They managed to reach 53 calender years together. (Daddy went on to next life first.) They were not able to have a official "silver" or "gold" Anniversary tho, since that would take 100 and 200 calender years... ☹️

I don't know, man - I'm definitely seeing a chubby tadpole about to swim its way across the pile side. You aren't seeing that?
 
Day 10:

I found my first Barlow and my dad's coffee mug when I was cleaning out his room at the nursing home a few years back. Decades earlier, I'd seen him use this knife daily around the farm. He fed our livestock MoorMan's and the main blade used to have the logo etched on it. By the time I found the knife the kids were grown, the farm was gone, and so was Mom. Dad had already sloughed off most of his belongings. I'm not sure how this Barlow managed to stick around. It must have been one of those things he still used on the regular. Like a coffee mug.

The knife was a little stiff in the joints but still takes a wicked edge. I rarely carry it.
