Spring into Spring with a "Barlow a Day for Thirty Days"

Day 3
1GXq7Td.jpg

Classic Queen #22 with a lambsfoot in my pocket today (in two different pockets that is 🤣 )

86 Stainless Barlow or as its known as from today the "Onion Master" 😁

I just cant get no Satisfaction (patina).🤭

Yep, needed some Mushrooms for my "Eye tallian sorse".

Only had one oversized onion (what) even cutting it in half it was to much, dont ask me to cater for your wedding. 🤣

Please forgive my asking ...
1) Do you know about when it was made? I'm guessing it isn't a Queen made, and dates to pre-1930's.

2) How can you not tote such a beautiful classic all your waking moments since you got it? 🤯😳
Truth be spoken, I'd have difficulty not 'totin it.
(full disclosure: Same for any pre-Queen Russell Barlow that isn't used up ... or an early USA made Robeson Barlow, for that matter. 🥰)

Of course you can ask Steve, should as this is Forum :)

1. You're way off I'm afraid, these were Green Rivers made by Böker, Solingen at the start of this century I believe, I bought it online around 2006? There were Clip versions but prefer Spear on Barlows generally, possibly singles too. A great Stag one got left behind by me...follies of non youth :D But this bone aint poor.

2. I don't have a strong belt like you for all those carries....I just have whims or caprices

Enjoy the day

Thanks, Will
I was off on country of birth, and if by "turn of this century" 1990's and 2000's. "turn of the century" makes me think 1800's to 1900's.
Probably cuz I have more years experiences and memories "lived" in the 1900's than I likely will have in the 2000's. 🙄
However, I was correct on not a Queen made. 😁👍
I still don't understand how you don't have it for/as a long term/permanant daily carry ...

A Stag vintage Russell Barlow?!? 🤯😳🤤
Probably had an asking (and selling) price higher than the combined total value of the 98 cars, pickups, vans, motorcycles, and trucks (over 1.5 ton load capacity) that I owned before going "car free" (by choice) in 1996. 😳😁👍
(majority of them were straight trades ~ not purchases ~ when I "lived" in the Southern Peoplz Republik of Kalifornistan ... can't even legally possess a slingshot/catapult, Shephard's Sling, or blowgun ... and if you voted other than Democrat you were "a danger to society" and ostricized ... 😳🙄)

I went with the 77 today. Just cut up some food for my kid’s tortoise with it.

And a clip point 77! Nicely done Paul!

I went out with my day 3 Barlow which happens to be a stainless 86. Love the 86 pattern, and I can live with the stainless on this one! I mean, Johnnythefox Johnnythefox has one so I must be ok!😎 Really, I really like this one even though it hasn’t cut onions yet!

That pet could be future luxury knife scales...problem is, they can outlive everybody on this Forum and some 🤣

Anybody have a Tortoiseshell Barlow? Real one I mean ;)
Very true Will. He will probably outlive me by about 25-30 years. He is cool as hell. My son named him William B Franky 🤷. Have no idea where he got it from. We in the family call him Willie B 😂😂
