A 30 day Barlow challenge? I’m your Huckleberry! Day 1, it is.


And Mr. Primble , my wallet has you to thank for an overnight lightening. I’ve been watching my grail Barlow on auction (sentimental knives excluded, of course) for several weeks now and thus far had resisted. Well, if this is going to be Barlow month, and since my Birthday is this weekend… it doesn’t take a genius to put two and two together. Soon I will own four Barlows.

86 Stainless Barlow or as its known as from today the "Onion Master"

A little stainless never hurt nobody ........ but ..... not too many for me. They have their merits. That onion dish looks tasty !!!

Not letting a little early AM Arthroscopic surgery keep me from day 3 of our Barlow challenge

I went out with my day 3 Barlow which happens to be a stainless 86. Love the 86 pattern, and I can live with the stainless on this one! I mean, Johnnythefox has one so I must be ok! Really, I really like this one even though it hasn’t cut onions yet!

Day 3

I can't go very long without the 2022 Remington Granddaddy Barlow finding its way back into my pocket. T'was my 2023 KotY, and for good reason. I've found that the slimmer (even in a slip!) RGB is a perfect fit for my RFP, and that I prefer my #21 Bull Buster (not pictured) for back pocket carry (doesn't seem to mind getting sat on occasionally). Together, they make quite a formidable team!

And what goes better with a great Remington knife than a wheelgun chambered in .44 Remington Magnum?!

DAY 3 : Very Old SEO&S Barlow with Integral Bolsters and 2019 BF knife

I got the SEO&S about 9 years ago from an old lady who reportedly was selling her deceased husband's knife for a very nice price . The knife is at least 100 years old and has a Lazy Blade .
