Spyderco D2 model?

Wouldn't this steel be best used in a large fixed blade knife that is used for chopping or batoning through wood? I don't own any Spyderco fixed blade models, so I don't know which (if any) would be most appropriate.

I would love a Delica with Micarta handle. That would be not only beautiful but very functional. I love my CF model with VG-10 but give me micarta any day. HOWEVER, I think that D2 would serve better in a larger folder, either 1.) the Police or 2.) the Military. Just my .02

HHHUUUUMMMM!Seems there is quite a bit of interest in a tan G10 Military or Para military. What do you think Sal.I would love either in a Desert Tan.
A D2 500 piece run with a colored G10 Scale.WOW!

Para-Military with Desert Tan G-10 handle works for me and a great way to kickoff this new knife.

Sal, bring back a special run of 500 each of the Calypso and Calypso Jr. in D-2. Those knives were the absolute best slicers that Spyderco ever made. I know they are not in production, but I assume that the tooling to make these knives still exists, please consider it.

Word up, bro! Don't know about D2, but at least the little Calypso will be back for a while. And if not D2, at least S30V

I concur with those who say the Calypso Jr.

But how about the Moran fixed blade? D2 would be ideal in that configuration.

My first choice would be the Calypso jr, followed by the Delica.

Carbon fiber handles would be nice too.

I'd buy some.

Para-Military. I would also like to see the Para-Military
with either OD or tan scales.

I vote for the military or the para-military.
Of course, a cheaper version of the lum chinese in D2 also sounds real apealling.
