Spyderco Fakes & Knock Offs Info

About the reflection of the edge. I've observed that as a belt wears the grit wears down and can get loaded with material. These belts have kind of a polishing action leaving a smoother surface. Don't know if it's the case here. There's a lot of variables when it comes to manufacturing.

I saw a fake "Military" at our local flea (Navarre FL) market for $50. The box looked perfect. The knife was impressive at first glance. It was more the size of a Para 2 than a Military. The give away was the sloppy jimping and runny black paint marks on the blade spine. The blade deployment was pretty rough compared to the smooth out of the box Spydercos. I wasn't able to give it a thorough inspection because the vender knew, that I knew, something was rotten in Denmark, and began glaring at me.

Does anybody know if snwholesale1 is a reliable eBay seller??

No idea, but if you want to buy an authentic Spyderco knife, then your best recourse is to buy from a legitimate store with international shipping. Keep in mind, if you order something online from overseas, you run the risk of your country's customs agency confiscating the items if they are deemed illegal to own.

Here is a list of some sellers that are members here, not all of them will ship outside the US, but others will. There is also a seller in Europe listed there as well, and he offers legitimate items with a competitive price.

So, you have some detail oriented people saying it's fake and some other people, blind I guess, saying they don't see any difference. I would send it in to Spyderco noting your displeasure with the quality control in Colorado and see what happens. Who knows, maybe it was bring your kid to work at Spyderco. Also, not sure what you think is so legitimate about somebody hustling on ebay, feedback is meaningless now. Lots of legitimate sellers on ebay?? OK, Maybe, lots of fakes and hustlers too. If it walks like a duck.................

You obviously do not see any difference and have no way of pointing that out to be a fake. If you did you would point out the differences instead of just talking harshly. Your claim that every detail is off and your knowledge seem to be as fake as an aliexpress syperdco

Put up or shut up

What good is this thread if you guys submit photos of fake knives but don't explain why they are fake???????

Anyone else notice there are fake Dragonfly Salts on the chinese ripoff site??

I posted before that this is the fake one I bought. The seller accepted it back with no problem and refunded me an extra 5$. He also removed all his other listings.

Have there been any sightings of fake CF Chaparrals, or CF Caly 3's ? I did a search but didn't come up with anything

Not that I've seen

Thanks. Its pretty bad when you almost have to be an expert on all the brands just to lessen the chance of getting burned. The good old days of find knife, buy knife are long gone

Hy, I bought this Lum Chinese with 50 $. It's the titanium one or the aluminum one?
And ... strange ... the LUM logo it's on the wrong side of the blade where it should by the Spyderco logo .... it's a fake one?

Hey folks, And this may have all ready been covered since I have not read all 26 pages, if so sorry, but while looking around 4 a Spyderco @ different places on line, not only @ but mostly "E", that if U do a "search" online with their provided model # , U just get hits 4 some dealers & auctions, but if U remove the "P" from their model # it actually will pull up the Spyderco site 4 that model??? Any input ???

So ... after a thorough research ... I found that it's a Spyderco C65BLP one of the rarest Spyderco knives ... almost impossible to find :)

This might be old news, but I just noticed THE counterfeit reseller has fake southards in a variety of g10 colors, including brown...

(Not sure if links are OK here, removed)

Any sightings of fake manix 2 s30v with black button? Knife I received from Amazon (red's gear) seems a little rough in some areas. Grind was also off a bit on one side, making it a bit difficult to polish.
