Spyderco Flipper

Not a deal breaker, but a little disappointing. Do you expect this to be available this year?

if its coming from the same factory that makes the gayle bradleys then i am really looking forward to this knife. I am looking forward to the excellent fit and finish that this knife is sure to have. not to mention hopefully priced at a bargain like the gayle bradley too.

I'm actually excited/happy to hear that it'll be made in Taiwan. Spyderco's USA-made models are very well-built, but the consistently flawless F&F of the knives coming out of their Taiwan factory (Gayle Bradley, Sage series, Chokwe, Vallotton Sub-Hilt, etc.) is like nothing else I've seen at anywhere near those knives' price points.

looks like clicking on this tread just cost me some money.... this knife looks to be a must have! hope its not s30v, i have to many spydercos in s30v

Sorry, we'll make the model in Taiwan.

Good move Sal, the F@F on my gayle bradley is insanely good. What a knife. Nice quality nice price point. You should be able to get a kick ass flipper made over there. I really like the desert tan on the proto. I would not go with M-4 (even though I love that steel) as its more a steel for the real informed consumer. I feel the flipper goes head to head with ZT and should have a steel with more mass market appeal. You will sell tons of these. Definately tactical colored scales in order (desert tan, coyote brown something like that). Probably SV-30 or SV-35 will have the right mass appeal.

I once owned a Zero Tolerance folder reground by Mr. Southard and the craftsmanship on the regrind was amazing. I would definitely pick up an example of his Spyderco collaboration.

i prefer 154cm to s30v. but any steel would be fine really. even their flagship vg10. but i guess s30v is more popular.
