Spyderco PM2 in s110v

I plan to get one eventually, but since it's not a Sprint or an Exclusive I feel like I can wait until I don't have so many other expenses weighing me down. Maybe that's a mistake, but I don't really need one anyway--very happy with all aspects of my 204P Para 2.

As far as BladeHQ, their email system is not set up to be useful for any knives that are "hot new releases".
Don't expect to be notified prior to sellout on really popular releases.
It's only really useful if you are wanting to be notified about re-stocks, or knives that don't sell out instantly.

As for the PM2....
This thing is like a dream. This is why I love Spyderco. Sal & Eric listen to what their customers say they want.
It's the best F&F on any PM2 I've had so far. Some camo ones have had uneven grinds or tight pivots, or any number of other small problems, but this dark blue one I got is basically flawless.
Centering perfect. Tip is perfect. Pivot is perfect (falls closed like butter). Edge is incredibly sharp and will remain that way for a long time.

Not sure if this or the Horizon C is gonna win "Knife of the Year" in my book. Both super strong contenders...

Hi Rasco,

Upper left hand corner. :) I know it doesn't stand out, I have tried to correct it, but there is a search feature.

I hope this helps,
Rob

Fair enough!
I see it now :) I guess my mind is trained to look in the upper right, or on the menu bar on the left, but not up there in the upper left corner.

I have had e mails come through for other items I was on e mail list for. I am in no way bashing bladehq I order 90% of my blades from them and don't see this changing in the future.

Totally. Didn't mean to imply that you were bashing just wanted to share my experience. I'm also a BHQ lover.

Agree 100%!!!
Its awesome that Sal and company listen to their customers, even the nutty ones!
While I'm still not positive if I like the color (the purple), my 110V example is completely flawless direct from the factory. Grind is perfect, action - perfect, factory edge - sharp and very even, centering - perfect. Even the edges of the liners where they are cut are nice and smooth compared to all of the other PM2s I've owned that are rough in sections.

From the pictures I have seen, the knife looks to be a true Royal Blue. Traditional Royal Blue has a slight purple tinge, but is still a deep blue. Royal Blue is not the same color as cobalt blue, or other deep blues marketed as royal blue. A lot of Royal Blue is also of a brighter shade, but still trends slightly to the red or purple.

Until I saw this post, I never thought you guys had a search function either...cyber conditioning...

Glad I am not the only one :P I felt kinda stupid after Rob pointed that out, but yeah, conditioning...

I see it just as you do. Royal blue with a tad of purple.

Don't! It is not the easiest to see. If anyone should be feeling that way, it should be me, not you. If I get the time today, I will work on it again and see if I can't get that issue taken care of.

I appreciate you bringing this up.

Rob

Wow, this thing is sharp!

My last Para was the sprint Para 1 in Foliage Green and D2 - this knife is slicker, sharper out of the box...and I love the blue.

Just got mine. Massive blade play side to side. I noticed it immediately when I opened it up and did the compression lock flick (press compression lock, flick knife open and release to lock). The blade immediately hit the blade stop and made a short ringing/rattling sound like the washers or blade were vibrating. Checked from blade play and there's considerable. If you hold the blade open and shake the knife you can feel the rattling of the blade, and sometimes hear it although it's hasn't done it the last few times. Going to need to get this resolved if most times I open the knife I am going to keep this rattling/ringing noise.

All screws are tight, including pivot. Pivot screws are loctited shut, rather not risk destroying them.

Mine was the same way. It's the stop pin. It's an easy fix, you can adjust it out with no problem.
