These 15V PM2s are quite a value. There is no significant functional difference going lightweight with the frn. In fact I feel like g10 or more "premium" materials are often over hyped and do not lock into your hand as well as the bi direction grip. Frn is quite robust. And the way Spyderco formulates their frn it really doesn't feel "cheap" in my hands. Even though I am a true spoon clip fan I have had Spydercos with wire clips and they are serviceable if not a little less robust.
I agree. In the past I turned my nose up at FRN...but I've come to see the error of my ways. It is quite serviceable...and, in truth, more than serviceable.
(Even though I've had several well made Spyderco and other manufacturer's knives in FRN or similar for many years. )
I've impressed my self by showing a little self-control for once and resisting FOMO on this model. I already have two 15v models, a Native and a Military 2. I'll keep waiting for a Magnamax and/or Salt version of the P2 LW.
This one does look great and is a very impressive bargain when compared to the the BD1N version.
