A solid enough reason. Just seems so close to all of their other knives in materials. What makes this $100 to $130 more than a para 2?I guess because idiots like me will pay it.
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is available! Price is $250 ea (shipped within CONUS).

No opfocus on Sprints is correct.Spyderco sells direct at MSFP (unless it's running a sale on a soon to be or already discontinued item) but . . .
Are you an active or retired 1st responder or military?
If so, you're eligible to sign up to be an OpFocus member to buy most knives at a 60% discount from MSRP.
See: OpFocus Program
Didn't recall the OpFocus restriction on Sprints but am leaving the above info up for those who are not already familiar with the OpFocus program.
However, even at MAP, I doubt that I'll buy the Starmate Sprint because there's nothing that makes it any better or more interesting IMO (apart from the steel used) to distinguish it from the 3 prior variations for me as a collector.![]()
I believe this is the third release. Mine is out for delivery today, I’m excited for it.I got notice from a dealer of in stock so I grabbed one. looking forward to this, what is it now a second version?, reissue.....

Every retailer I’ve seen has sold out in minutes.
