Too late for this thread--- I wouldn't be the first to throw in an aside and I think I have the right to a comment in a post whether you feel it is right or not. My point isn't the price on an auction, but the fact that bladeauction really exists to skirt automatic knife laws. Ebay is ignoring them more and more. I don't think those are bad things. But at the risk of appearing to try and hijack this thread, I will say that "how about you stay out of this thread" was a waste of keystrokes. (and yes someone paid full price for the knife... I have one myself, they are fine...I have even bought from spyderman without problems)

And your point has nothing to do with the topic of this thread. If you have a problem with BA, start another threadfor it.

Fracmeister, this thread is dead.
If you have a problem with auto knives
go to the auto forom, or you could
just do what the rest of us do and
not talk about them here.

I wish I'd found this thread before I ordered from this guy. I did a paypal payment to him for a spyderco spyderhawk. Now I'm waiting on the resolution process. Anybody know this guy's real name and address? All I know is that his name is Michael, his business is MJB Direct and his email/paypal account is inthewebb@aol.com. Guess I should have looked in to him first, but his email was given to me by a guy over at the Spyderco factory forums site. Live and learn :(

PayPal says:

PayPal strongly recommends attempting to resolve this issue directly with the merchant or seller whenever possible.

Maybe you can contact PayPal, explain that you want to contact him, and request more information?

When I try to go to paypal about this I've been getting a mesage saying its already being looked into. They are supposed to contact me in two days - which would be by tomorrow. I'll ask them for a name and address then. They forwarded his response (a tracking number that doesn't show up at the USPS site). I guess Paypal gives me a couple days to see if I want to continue or cancel the complaint. Another member over at the Spyderco forums contacted me - he sent paypal for a knife to this guy also and hasn't received it. He's filing with Paypal too.

I just wanted to let you guys know that after he was contacted by Paypal (he had ignored my emails) he did send me my knife. It is in the NIB condition that he said it was in. So he did live up to his end of the deal although I think it took some persuasion from Paypal.
