Squeak, Squeak, Squeak...

I bought a few from that vendor for $15 each as well. Great deal!

I'm planning on how to re-scale them, right now. One of them will probably be blackwood and another desert ironwood...

In case you hadn't seen it, here is a recent Squeak I did in jigged bone.

I hadn't seen the bone handle yet Ted. Excellent as usual.
I ordered some materials yesterday so I may have something by the weekend.

I couldn't wait to start carrying one of these so I RIT dyed it black.
Came out well.

Looks nice! Really kicking myself now for not getting two or even three.

I grabbed three because I like to have a few new knives kicking around that I can give away and pink is a pretty unintimidating choice especially in a Squeak. Now that I've got them though I just want to keep them. And after I get done with them it's going to be tougher to part with any.
And the N690Co is no slouch at taking an edge.

Yeah I love the steel every bit as much as vg-10. Just seeing all the custom scales is inspiring. Would be another good knife for one of my daughters. So far have only bought them each gerber lst and my older one a case sodbuster jr in cv.

I got mine yesterday. I really like it. For such a small knife you can get a really nice grip, even if the choil makes it look funny when closed. I won't bother to post a pic yet since its the same as the others but I plan on dying it soon so I'll show it off then. I can't find anymore for $15 but there are some for $30 a couple of places if you really want one. The Kershaw Shuffle is worth a look if you want a similar knife for $15 and you missed out on this one. I'd like to see some pimped versions of those too.

I grabbed one of the pink ones for my wife. I should have grabbed two, because I don't have a slipjoint, any of this steel, or a slippie, plus this is the best little big knife I have held. Oh well. Anyway, she has requested a purple color. Think I can do that? I have only dyed a Kershaw Echelon (natural G10) to royal blue that came out almost black. Any differences with the FRN vs. G10, or any other pointers?

I picked up some materials to make handles and it didn't really work out. I need to get to my friends shop to do the work with this material so I'm putting this project on hold for a short time.
Until then though, I want to dye another one a red-like color. What are these handles? Zytel or something? can't remember off the top of my head. Anyway, it dyes easily and when I get the red dye I'll do it in stages. Maybe I can get a purple shade at some point. I'll post up some results.

I just used some cheap royal blue dye from Walmart and it turned out purple, but I kind of figured it would. I left it in there for a while but I was afraid it would end up close to black if I left it in too long. I'm pretty happy with it.

Perfect, I have that royal blue and turned my Echelon almost black. I will just be careful with it. Thanks for posting that!

Do you think with some yellow that would turn a nice brown?

Hello. Has anyone taken photos of their sqeak when it was apart. If so i would love to see them. Thank you,
Nathan

I had to take one apart to dye today anyway.
3 screws and a pin. Really simple assembly.

I ordered 2 last night before you posted with the plan of dying them and see how it goes. You guys have inspired me. If it went well, I'd order a couple more. Now I expect they'll be gone by the time I get a chance to dye them.
