Squeak, Squeak, Squeak...

Just ordered one, says 5 left 67 sold

Not sure what I'm gonna do with it , but couldn't resist the price. Lol

I had to take one apart to dye today anyway.
3 screws and a pin. Really simple assembly.

I'm thinking of using yellow...shooting for orange. If it doesn't work well, I'll add some blue and go for a brown. I'll probably get to it next thursday

Definitely share pics of how your attempt at orange turns out! If it looks good I may have to pick one of these up.

How are you dying the handles? How much dye and such?

I wash the handles to get all the oil off then drop them in a solution of 1 cup water, 1 cup white vinegar, and 1 whole package of RIT dye at a low boil. Turn off the heat and leave them for 1/2 hour. Use caution around anything you don't want dyed. Rubber gloves too.

If someone sees the pink squeak back up for $15 can you please email or pm me the info? I'd like to pick one up for my girlfriend. Her nickname is squeak. Thanks!

Did you use the powder or liquid?

Dyed the last one today.
I used dark green RIT dye and masked the Spyderco logo to retain the last of the pink.
I reassembled the green/pink using PB washers from an Endura kit I had laying around so it's no longer washerless. I'll see how it works long term.

Nice Job! Would of totally stole the idea off maKing off the spider logo from you on my second one. I managed to score another one and went red like I had originally intended. Mine are definitely turning out to be a perfect little utility knifes when at work.
